I’m old and miss all the irrelevant tosh that we used to gibber about. 😁

I am tempted to have a drink. Tomorrow i am going to see my ex - the love of my life - for the first time since December. I am so mixed up and trying not to undo all the work I've done on myself over the last nine months.
Getting drunk feels like a very good and a very bad idea all at the same time.
So ive just eaten my bodyweight in chocolate instead.

I saved the wine and ended up sharing beer with DP.

Watching the sewing bee and wishing I had snacks, while also hating how fat I've gotten since having children.

Loved a drunk Friday night thread with Have I Got News for You and Graham Norton. Conversations got deeper and more bonkers. Even though not drinking now due to chemo I could join in and be that annoying friend that always drives and adds a voice of reason!!

Polishing off a bottle of pink fizz my mum gave me for my birthday this week because fizz is not OK the day after. And also have a new job that means early starts and no alcohol in the week at all.

I’m on the tea but my DH has spent his evening sampling our soon to be ex son in laws whiskey collection our DD decided that her daddy could have all the whiskey given her x had a sordid affair and has made a complete mess of everything

@AlexanderArnoldthe problem with fizz is it has to be followed by opening another bottle of fizz (so I’ve been told)

I’m at a wedding tonight but I only know the bride and groom and one friend who has been tearing up the dancefloor (I’m still recovering from surgery so no dancing myself).

Glad you got the all clear @lovemelongtime - my surgery was for cancer and the worry around the unknown is the worst part of what I’ve been through this year for sure.

@DetailRedacted no more fizz but I have cracked open a bottle of white that just arrived with the shopping delivery... So I am with you on this.

As an aside, I have a lovely cleaner whose autistic son has been out of school so she has rarely come these past months. But she was here yesterday so I am also sitting here admiring a house clean but not by me for once!

Back in the old days when all this was fields and MN was fun!
