Usual used to start them then I started some when she was busy and then when she left

MN was much more fun in those days lots of very intelligent witty women having a laugh and not taking life so seriously. I’m finding it all a bit of a minefield these days!

I agree! I post less and less on random threads and more on a selected few where the funny, witty women still exist and can discus stuff without getting ranty at disagreement.

I loved those threads! I was mostly a lurker as I didn't feel I was funny enough to join in, but they were very entertaining.

I would've loved a thread like that and obviously it was before my time. But I suspect it would be hijacked now. It does seem that anyone on MN who has a thimble of sherry at Christmas needs to go to straight to AA.

You just have to ignore the hijackers. There is a very long standing Sweary thread on MN and I’ve seen posters go on there and bemoan the fact they are swearing. The title says it what it is but some fools just can’t help themselves.

Loved the drunk threads. Although I would start off on them but I go to bed so early after a few glasses I was never on them very late. I think it was generally Usual who started them, and I remember you Scoose. I think so many people have name changed like me, or left mn now,
