They'll need a czar of unfucking things with a large staff and budget

I'm up for the job and to tell the truth they wouldn't even have to pay me. It would be enough to be able to sign multiple forms that said (in essence) "Burn that mother down!".

Come on Binface. The count is on.

RedTagAlan · 14/08/2026 03:20

35,401 is the total votes cast in Clacton

Count ongoing, but Farage has claimed victory. He says it is him against the establishment. He also claims :

"Nigel Farage announced that Essex Police confirmed "there is an organised campaign to disrupt and degrade the result that will take place in a few hours time."
He added: "I'm not scared of these people, far from it, but I'm damned if I'm going to stand on a stage having won a resounding victory, a ringing endorsement for all that I've tried to fight for and you've tried to fight for and be demeaned and humiliated by nobody's and I will not sadly be attending the count. Which means I'm going to be here all night." ( Mirror).

Ahem. It has already been there will be no stage. Too many candidates, so the officer has said it will be done on the floor.

Apparently there is a reform party thing going on. But the only news invited is GB news.

Temu Trump indeed.

FFS!! 🤬

Kennedy Center Board Decides to Inscribe Trump’s Name on Building
The vote to add “Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump” is an aggressive test of a judge’s order to remove his name.

The board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts voted on Thursday to inscribe President Trump’s name on the building beneath the main signage, according to two people with direct knowledge of the proceedings, aggressively testing a federal judge’s order.

According to the resolution approved by the Trump-allied board, the inscription underneath the institution’s name would read: “Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump.” The board’s decision, which directs officials to act by “all legal means,” came shortly after it voted to move forward with Mr. Trump’s plan to shutter the building for renovations.

The president’s name was added to the building last year, but the judge ordered the letters taken down, finding that only Congress had the authority to change the institution’s name. The center removed Mr. Trump’s name in June but is appealing the ruling.

The move appeared to be a creative workaround to a provision in the federal law governing the Kennedy Center that says “no additional memorials or plaques in the nature of memorials shall be designated or installed in the public areas.”

In Thursday’s resolution, the board directed officials to honor Mr. Trump for bringing the center back “from the brink of disaster,” presenting a series of possibilities that include naming the center’s grounds the “President Donald J. Trump Plaza.”
“It is hereby resolved,” the measure said, “that the center desires to recognize and honor President Trump’s existential and unprecedented contributions to the survival of the center by all legal means.”

Both decisions will be subject to the scrutiny of the judge who found that the board had been “derelict” in considering the closure plan ahead of its original vote. Mr. Trump announced in February that the center would close for two years, with the objective of transforming what he called a “tired, broken and dilapidated” institution.

The board voted on Thursday to close the Kennedy Center’s main building, while keeping a newer addition to the campus, known as the Reach, open for limited programming and to operate as an active memorial to John F. Kennedy.

I mean, have they actually renovated it?

As I’ve said elsewhere on here, he’s the epitome of “I’m taking my ball home”.

Odious little man. I love that 28% of voters opted for Count Binface over him.

Bring on the investigation!

Probably slapped some plastic gold bits and bobs around and added a few dabs of gold paint. Do the extra holes in the walls needed for the Trump name change count as a renovation?

Won’t they just! I wonder if a member of the Obama family might take on this onerous duty? Grin That would get right up Trump’s nose.
That made me think, can you imagine what it would be like if Trump took cocaine, or drank alcohol? No, I can’t either.

Going back to KKK Barbie. What exactly will the new role of adviser for the Mid-terms entail? Joining up with Master of the dark arts, Miller?

Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.

Defy history? Isn't the usual phrase define history? Good old Trump eh?

Don’t all of the people who resign get the “honour” of remaining a trusted advisor? I’m sure he says the same about Pam Bondi.

Whether she’s trying to get ahead of things so she can distance herself or, if Hell has frozen over, actually developed a conscience who knows….

Clearly it's just that they don't have enough testosterone. Don't bother send food, testosterone jabs is whats needed.

Ah, yes of course. Silly me. Adequate food and working toilets are for weaklings and enemies of the most beautifullest navy in the world. Hegseth himself survives on a single pea a day and never pees at all, obviously.

Hatriots. There's a new word for enemies of all true Patriots. I wonder if Donald has thought of that one yet, to line up with "dum(b)ocrats"...?

And speaking of quotes... here's a good one. "When will the interests of governments be amalgamated with those of the people? Never."

A note written by Maximilian Robespierre, found in his papers after his contented citizen patriots cut off his head.

TBF to Trump, it does come down to the shipbuilders and the designers etc.

Steam pults are reliable and well understood. Not every tech improvement works out. Just see the USS Zumwalt as a good example. And the gun it was designed to carry. The gun was scrapped, and they don't know what to do with the Zumwalt.

In fact, even the LCS class of ship has pretty much been a failure. And they have loads of them. But it is the old destroyers they are actually using.

Loads of it is vapourware.

That's not to say it is not worth trying. But if it don't work as well as expected, no shame in going back to the established way.

We don't know if the electromagnetics are launching full load planes as designed, at the expected reliability and so on. But someone will. And we know Trump can't keep his gob shut.

I need to lie down now :-)

Maybe the US could design, build, and maintain a VTOL capability and squadrons.

Just an idea ?

Not yet. 'Improvement' plans are supposedly 'in discussion'.

I hope this bullshit will end up in front of the same judge who made the initial decision to remove Scrotus' name. And I'm hoping this can be delaying through the courts until either something else 'glittery' catches his eye and he loses interest or Nov 2028, whichever comes first.

They have one. The F35B.

And thinking on from my post above, I think it likely that the issue with the mag pult is the load it can launch consistently. Long distance missions over Iran and all that.

I was thinking more of the Harrier. Which most emphatically the US had no part in.

(See also: Concorde. Which NASA admitted was more extreme engineering than Apollo ...)

Yup. I know you were thinking of the Harrier, but they do have the F35B. Although that is really short takeoff and vert land, cos of arms and fuel load.

The UK has them. Although India had one of ours for a long time after it broke down.
