This ignorant EO could affect supply outside of the US as well.

This will result in 5x the pain for the child, 5x the time off from work for the parents, & 5x the coinsurance. For the pharmacist, it’s also 5x the storage space, 5x the shipping. So similar to voter suppression tactics, this is immunizations suppression pure and simple.
^^
And for manufacturers, this will mean 5x the production run, driving up cost and capacity constraints. Their response is likely to either build a production line or hire more staff, which they will not do, or to pick and choose which vaccine to prioritize and which to stop making.
^^
And I have not gotten into the cost to medical practitioners or insurance companies...
^^
This one presidential edict will have a cascading effect that will cost billions and potentially kill millions around the world.
^^
The new EO doesn't apply outside the US, but it'll affect people abroad. As vaccines are a worldwide market, it will increase costs for all countries that buy vaccines. We will also see shortages in certain vaccines as companies make business decisions about what to produce, when, and if at all.
^^
Most pharmacies have a mini fridge to store vaccines. They are only so big and can only carry so many vials. That's why the new vaccine EO is so devilishly insidious. It is designed to gum up the vaccine production and distribution system and also to kill demand.

It is an astounding bit of (fucking idiots in) government overreach.

Government should take unbiased scientific advice on stuff like this, and act on that. Not on the conspiracies of some LSD brain frazzled Kennedy.

And where have States Rights gone.

On a lighter note, is there any photoshops of gold plated airline food trucks yet ?

Has Argentina donated a 7 star luxury food truck?

" It's the best food container truck anyone has ever seen. Nobody has ever seen anything like it. It is lined with 10 million year rated granite. Sleepy Joe just left a rubbish aluminium box behind. But now America has an airport food truck that shows real power. Nobody is laughing at us now"

It's alright. I have shares in a company that makes childrens coffins.

You'd be amazed at how popular Spiderman is.

Errolwasahero · 11/08/2026 17:56

Yes and prayers, of course. Naturally if those prayers don’t ‘work’ then it’s all part of God’s plan (I really wish I were joking 😢)

SerendipityJane · 11/08/2026 18:03

Nowhere. It's just they have nothing to do with citizen rights.

Yeah, and guess which parents aren't going to be able to afford to get to, or take time off for, 5 separate trips to a medical facility.

They're so disgusting.

And there's this, which seems to have largely slipped under the radar

Maybe, even now. the next cybertruck will be a gas chamber on wheels to go round and pick up the inconvenient.

I mean you know the plans are still around somewhere.

It's chaff flooding the news cycle so lots of (important) things go unnoticed.

Well at least if it's a cybertruck it will most likely be a failed venture. Didn't he just accidentally crash something into the moon?

Scientists warn about space debris after huge SpaceX rocket part thought to have hit Moon

The stray upper stage (section) of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket is about the size of a five-storey building, with a mass of at least 4,000kg.

Every injection is a medical risk.

Why multiply needlessly ?

(Remember that a 1 in a million chance plus a 1 in a million chance is 2 in a million, Not one in a billion).

Every infection is a medical risk, especially spreadable ones.

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 11/08/2026 21:15

Trouble is, so many people still think Measles is a slight inconvenience, a couple of days off school.
I nursed a teenager with Sub Acute Sclerosing Panencephalitis, a complication of measles. Severe brain damage, she lived 9 years in a vegetative state.

placemats · 11/08/2026 21:31

Measles certainly has catastrophic consequences.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 11/08/2026 21:55

My eyes did not recover properly after measles. (It nearly killed me as well, but the eyes was lasting damage.)

PerkingFaintly · 11/08/2026 22:22

Glad you're home safe, @Justsaynonow . To roadworks and all.

@Justsaynonow

So glad you got home safely. Must have been a scary drive.

Thinking of you and all my 'cousins to the north'. Praying for rain in the active fire areas.

<whispers> I can still call y'all cousins, can't it?

Edited

For me, it was hearing, German Measles.

ETA: Glad you’re home safely. Wondering which province you’re in - my family is in BC, mostly suffering from dangerous air quality for the mo, fingers crossed it won’t get worse.

Oh noes.

logicisall · 12/08/2026 09:37

Is it back to the day job for Lindell or is he hell bent on a career in politics now?

DancingFerret · 12/08/2026 09:51

I've just watched a clip on this morning's news of Trump stating he's in "total control" of the SoH.

Delusion is obviously how he made his millions; we should all try it.

I don't think there is a day job any more.

A quick search and he stepped down as CEO, hundreds of redundancies, MyPillow dropped from everywhere, factory moved cos unpaid rent, can't pay his court findings against him...

Lost it all for Trump.
