Terror attack on Berlin Pride

HermioneWeasley · 26/07/2026 09:17

police are looking for a suspect with Islamist links.

yesterday I saw that islamic bookshops run by the Muslim brotherhood (who are banned in Egypt and I think the UAE) are bringing “workers” over on skilled worker visas. The UAE has stopped government scholarships to British universities because they are worried about their young people being radicalised here!

islamic terrorism is a problem. 75% of Mi5’s watch list are Muslim.

how do we remain a safe and tolerant place for the many peaceful Muslims while still retaining our values and safety?

Exactly this: We tolerate the intolerant too much.

And the ridiculous attempt by @DrPrunesqualer to blame Israel for Islamic extremists completely discredits everything else they have to say.

Unfortunately you have failed to understand my posts

my FIL was also in Palestine in 1948 as part of the U.K. navy
What he saw shocked him for life and as you brought up the subject he was vehemently pro Palestinian for the rest of his life
How interesting that they have such different experiences on this
perhaps your neighbour never got off his ship ?
My FIL and all his mates were on shore trying to deal with the situation and given all their stories would definitely disagree

Nevertheless
agree with your first paras. Very interesting

And also, my Grandfather sailed on the Arctic Convoy Mission to the Soviet Union during WWII on HMS Belfast. He was then at D-Day providing shell cover on HMS Scylla (my other grandfather, who was only 21 and served with the Desert Rats, was there too). Three years after fighting the Nazis, it's inconceivable to me that either of them would have changed sides and found himself rooting for the same side that had been allied with, and in some cases trained by, the Nazis during the war.

I call BS.

Argh, that is grim. Poor girl. That's not culture, it's subjugation. Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII to free Europe from fascism, we now have fascism via the back door in Britain. It's sickening.

I'm very worried about the future of the UK and Europe in general. It's an open secret that there are weapons stored at mosques and religious areas that are literally no go areas.

Dark days ahead. I fear what happened in Israel on October 7th could happen here too. We just literally just avoided a Bondi Beach style massacre that was going to be carried out in Manchester. Those animals have just been sentenced. They were targeting Jews, but said they'd be very happy to take out as many Christians as possible in the attempt too.

Pray that MI5 do everything they can to protect us.

I'm glad some of you are talking about this. Seems like it's a topic not welcomed at all here on MN, because of 'Islamophobia'. Iran doesn't need to fire missiles at the UK, they just need to activate some of their cells resident in this country, and who knows how many there are and who they are. The terror watch list is already huge, some 40K men! I fear it's already too late and we'll be in the fight of our lives.

So he saw a five nation Arab army invade a fledging new state of refugees, many of whom had just survived the Holocaust, and thought "these are my people". Those same Arabs who were also allies of the Nazis during WWII?! So he took the side of the aggressors. Riiiight. Either this never happened, or someone had some serious issues.

Just a quick history lesson then. A partition plan won UN approval to give the Arabs half the land, and to give Jews half the land. The Arabs did not accept the plan - they didn't want half of a loaf, the wanted ALL of it - and so they declared war on the Jews with the intention of killing them all and destroying the fledgling Jewish state. Essentially it was their intention to "strangle the baby in the crib", so to speak. The war took place in two phases, firstly a civil war between Jews and Arabs in Israel. As civil wars are, it was fierce and cruel with many deaths. Then, in the second phase an Arab army made up of Egypt, Transjordan (now Jordan), Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq invaded.

In that war, yes, Israel did take more land than they received in the partition plan, but they were fighting for survival. It was a defensive war to begin with, then it became offensive for to shore up their long term security (there’s nothing unusual about that, that’s how war goes usually). Jordan took the West Bank, Egypt the Gaza Strip. Palestine (a territory only in name, NOT a country) ceased to exist.

The fellow Arab nations could have set up a proto-Palestinian state in those areas, built, invested in infrastructure. But no, they preferred to do nothing for the Palestinians in the refugee camps, who sadly paid the price of the Arab failures.

I don’t want to go into the attacks he was subjected to on this thread
but it wasn’t the Arabs
see
insurgency in Mandatory Palestine 1944-48
he was there through all the attacks by the militia against the U.K. forces

I won’t comment anymore on this as I suspect posters wouldnt want such a derail
but you can Google the above if interested

There are not 40K men in the UK on the "terror watchlist". That is disinformation spread by Reform a while back.

No, there are not. This is disinformation that was being spread a while back.

You keep saying that but it's not true. Everybody reading this can quickly easily verify. The fact is there's likely more than 40k muslim men now on the watchlist as this figure is from 2020.

I’ve read your posts and understood them all too well. You bought Israel into this on page 1, hoping you would find like minded people to agree with you it’s all Israel’s fault.

Didn’t work out that way? Tough. You’ve wandered out of the echo chambers where it’s ok to blame Jews for everything.

The 40K is the number of subjects of interest MI5 has investigated and subsequently moved to the Closed Subject of Interest list as they are judged not to be a current threat. A very large number of those 40k individuals in the CSOI list have never even set foot in the UK.

Perhaps you should inquire whether mnhq can remove your post with its disinformation.

The govt have refused to publish figures on the number of “foreigners” committing crimes. It’s irrelevant that we have our “own” criminals; we really don’t want more.

Given the number of surplus men with some pretty poor views of women, it’s no wonder that sexual crimes - especially against strangers - are rising. But no, nowt of concern.

No you're wrong. The 40k comes from MI5 itself, and actually they think that's an undercount.

Theres actually gets me about this is people struggling to identify Islamists as right wing facists with serious delusions of grandeur and superiority. The difference between them and nost nazi types is that they are brown. Both groups believe in a weird utopia where their favoured class gets to subjugate and eradicate people they consider to be non human, slave labour, control over the wombs of women, purity etc etc. it’s all the same shit.

They do it because they are facists, it’s why it exists in the middle east, in africa, terror attacks have happened in India and the even the phillipines. Explain to me why muslim Philippinos are blowing shit up due to generational trauma rather than facist ideology. Case of mind so open brain fell out.

I've gone direct to the MI5 website. They identify the 4 main terrorist ideologies as (in this order) Islamic Terrorism, Northern Ireland related terrorism, Extreme right wing terrorism and Left wing, anarchist and single-issue terrorism.

Islamist terrorism is the most significant terrorist threat to the UK by volume.

Islamist terrorists are generally driven by an extreme interpretation of Islam or perceived grievances against ‘the West’, particularly those propagated by terrorist groups such as Daesh (also referred to as ISIL, ISIS or the Islamic State) or al-Qaeda. Much of the volume of the threat is from individuals who have self-radicalised, seeking to carry out attacks using unsophisticated or low-sophistication methodologies. Generally, individuals will decide themselves to conduct an attack, rather than the attack being directed or controlled by a terrorist group. This can make it harder to identify terrorist activity.

There also remains an enduring threat from overseas terrorist groups which seek to inspire, support or enable attacks and which retain an intent to conduct sophisticated attacks.

Current national threat level

The threat to the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) from all forms of terrorism is SEVERE.*

*The national terrorism threat level covers all forms of terrorism aside from Northern Ireland-related terrorism in Northern Ireland.

Cynergy · Yesterday 09:15

UK National Terrorism Threat Level Raised To SEVERE
Published date: 01 May 2026

The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has raised the UK National Threat Level from SUBSTANTIAL, meaning a terrorist attack is likely, to SEVERE, meaning a terrorist attack is highly likely.

This change follows the stabbings in Golders Green on 29 April, although it is not solely a result of that attack. The UK has been experiencing a gradual increase in terrorist threats for some time. This has been driven by a rise in both Islamist and Extreme Right-Wing terrorist threat from individuals and small groups in the UK.

The current terrorist threat is characterised by:

A significant volume, breadth and complexity of terrorist incidents and cases across various ideologies, including attack planning, extremist travel intent, and online and offline radicalisation.

Whilst Islamist Terrorism remains the primary threat to the UK, Extreme Right-Wing Terrorism (ERWT) has been on a steadily rising trajectory.

An elevated threat to Jewish and Israeli individuals and institutions, in the context of the conflict in the Middle East, evident in recent incidents in the UK and overseas.* *

While the UK National Threat Level set independently by JTAC reflects the terrorist threat in the UK, we are also seeing a sustained and significant tempo of State-linked threats including to Jewish and Israeli individuals and institutions.

So let's say I went to the local zoo and decided to let out a tiger because it's unfair that the poor thing is caged and well it's important to "be kind". The said tiger then goes on to eat four innocent persons. Now who's to blame me for letting the tiger loose (based on good intentions) or the tiger for doing tiger things (like eating people).

Now Germany in 2015 opened its borders to a million asylum seekers mostly male and mostly from Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq all with the support of Angela Merkel and a significant proportion of the public. Predictably some of these asylum seekers have not integrated into western values and see the Pride festival as an abomination and a legitimate target for attacking.

Now who's to blame here the asylum seeker for continuing his existing and religious based views that homosexuality is a sin / crime and that gay people should be killed or the people in Germany that welcomed him into their country?

Yes, it was criminally naive of Merkel and the Welcome Culture to invite over a million muslims from the ME in 2015. Anyone who objected at the time was shouted down.

Since then it's been a drip drip drip of rapes, murders and a terrorist attack on a Christmas market, all carried out by refugees.

As a result they've had the rise of the anti-immigation Pegida movement and now 152 far right AFD sitting in the German parliament. This pattern is repeating across Europe as people are fed up and disillusioned with the elites.

Most of the people coming here illegally are young men from muslim countries. Some of them will be criminals, thugs and religious extremists. Having worked in the public sector I have little faith in the civil servants processing their asylum claims, who will mostly rubber-stamp them to clear the backlog.

These people are a threat to us, added to the threats we already have. We need to face up to this and not demonise anyone who says it's a problem. This country has become a soft touch, fearful, cowardly, kow-towing to alien practices and a magnet for anyone who wishes us harm.

Agree. Sara Shariff was made to this, and she was covering up abuse.

Couldn’t agree more. It should be seen as a potential red flag that a girl is forced to cover her whole body and not be allowed to participate in PE.

I think Sara Shariff might still be alive if she hadn’t been forced to cover up at school. I think we as a society failed her when her school didn’t insist on her parents sending her to school in normal school uniform.

Agree it should have been flagged as a safeguarding concern - or if it was - that insufficient action was taken to protect Sara.

Yes, agree, and the question is why didn't the school insist that she wear normal school uniform? Why do we give minority cultures so much status and power so that their requirements take priority?

This must surely make us a desirable destination for all those who wish to impose their culture on us.
