Terror attack on Berlin Pride

HermioneWeasley · 26/07/2026 09:17

police are looking for a suspect with Islamist links.

yesterday I saw that islamic bookshops run by the Muslim brotherhood (who are banned in Egypt and I think the UAE) are bringing “workers” over on skilled worker visas. The UAE has stopped government scholarships to British universities because they are worried about their young people being radicalised here!

islamic terrorism is a problem. 75% of Mi5’s watch list are Muslim.

how do we remain a safe and tolerant place for the many peaceful Muslims while still retaining our values and safety?

What a lot of the virtue narcissist hand-wringers don't seem to realise is expecting Islamists to accept let alone approve of homesexuality is akin to asking an English person with English heritage to accept or approve of something like FGM

The terrifying thing is this is happening! Only last year a group of western female academics published a paper saying we shouldn’t condemn FGM because it was an important cultural practice in some parts of the world.

Livelovebehappy · 26/07/2026 17:46

Ironically, the very people who whinge and moan about intolerance are the same people who are so intolerant of others. They’re telling us who they are so we should believe them. I know we can’t reverse allowing so many to come here to the UK, but we can certainly research the issue now to protect future generations. Totally off topic - I always fail to see why there even needs to be Pride marches. You’re gay. So what?! Just get on with your lives doing what you want to do. Homosexuality in Westernised countries is widely accepted as ‘normal’ these days. These marches are totally unnecessary. IMO…

Parsley4321 · 26/07/2026 17:50

My friend married a Muslim he’s been here. 35 years his eldest daughter is gay she can’t go into the house anymore. They can’t tell his family as if they do her cousins can’t marry this shit goes deap and the repercussions are wide

TonTonMacoute · 26/07/2026 17:51

@Livelovebehappy to be fair, I think a lot of gay people would agree with you. Many feel that Pride has been subverted by fetishists and trans activists

denying the scientific effect of trauma and malnutrition particularly pre natal and early years

is partly ( some would definitely say mainly )
why we are where we are

I didn't know gay people were a particularly large proportion of the British/German armed forces, or that they are prominent in the IDF. Or little girls for that matter. So 'pre natal trauma' makes people homophobic does it?

inkognitha · 26/07/2026 18:08

We let down so many women and girls in this country, denying them personal emancipation and the freedom to live their lives as they please because of their origin, it is heartbreaking.
I have seen toddlers in hijabs and I am
so angry.
And there is even worse

Many countries aren't nice. Many parts of the world aren't nice. Life is a poverty stricken fight for survival and there is oppression and violence. We're very lucky to have been born here as we don't know anything other than peace.

Nice isn't the normal state for human beings. We only learned to become nice through some particular sets of circumstances and from what we were taught.

Nice is gone. It's over. It's never going to happen again. We rejected what we were given and now we're paying the price. It's going to get a lot worse and we're going to end up like the countries we're used to seeing on TV over the years with their violence, oppression of women, rape and social injustices. This is the future. This is what we wanted.

Can you really class AfD as far right when they have a female lesbian leader? Is not that against all far right idealism? She doesn’t even live in Germany as it is too dangerous.

The first fascist group in the UK was founded by a lesbian.

This.
We saw what happened after the hate preachers were allowed free reign .

Oh FFS.

For a start, you do realise 'science says' is not an absolute? Science is theoretical and if there is enough empirical evidence, we can assume that the theory is now more likely to be proven but people can still and do, argue against it.

And you're vaguely because you don't really know what you're talking about, claiming absolute science when we're talking about sociology and psychology which has numerous variables that need to be taken into account.

You're also talking vague, reductive virtue signalling bollocks about 'blaming one group' as if it's racist. Islamists are causing Islamist terrorism and they claim it and are proud of it. What you're doing is akin to saying 'you can't blame one group for the actions of the IRA'. Yes you fucking can because it was the IRA. It wasn't all Catholics because not all Catholics were in the IRA and many didn't support them but it was all of the IRA as a group and their supporters.

Same as it's not all Muslims responsible but it is all Islamists and their supporters.

I'd like to give you grace as just a bit thick but it's virtue narcissism like your own that is suicidal for non-Islamist communities. And fucking up the country doesn't just effect you.

Very well said.

Why would a German attack his own people? He must have been brought up with Western values and a Western mindset. He is a European.

I think you must be very naive. His parents and wider family will have brought him up with their values, not German ones.

Since when did being female and a lesbian stop you having far-right views?
I don’t quite understand your comment.

Instability and war around the world leading to illegal immigration is the area to be focussed on
Pre natal malnutrition and trauma leads to long-term behavioural changes, ( it’s an scientific fact ) including a higher risk of aggression and emotional regulation issues in adulthood.

We can’t solve all the world problems but we need to recognise the issues beyond
’some communities are just bad’…
it just isn’t as simple as that.

When we look at what Israel is doing in Gaza they are creating a future generation of traumatised and potentially dangerous individuals. We, the U.K., and most countries around the world are not standing up to that.

Our modus operandi will be to blame the very people we are abandoning
and then we will wonder, again, why they are being aggressive into the future again and again

You may be well be right and there is also interesting research showing a correlation between a person of North African heritage moving to a European country in their teens and later psychosis.

These two facts taken together would suggest to me that stopping or limiting any more such immigration is the most pragmatic response to keep our populations safe.

It is not realistic to suggest we should stop the wars in these war-torn places. My late nextdoor neighbour was a Marine in Israel/-Palestine in 1948. Despite all our efforts, these are warlike peoples with deepseated grievances that the West cannot solve. We have to focus on keeping our own people safe.

The government don't care whether or not the population are safe. If that was their priority, they would stop problematic people from entering.

One has to assume that this is deliberate.

The reality is there are plenty of perfectly normal muslim people who also don’t particularly appreciate the extremists in their midst. The kind of men who harrangue women etc etc. the problem is you have no idea if someone is going to be normal or unhinged. There are interesting stats around terrorists and domestic violence for example.

We just need zero tolerance on these types, ban the muslim brotherhood, don’t let hate preachers in, deport anyone expressing extremist views. We just have to be really cutthroat and up front about our values and tell people they aren’t welcome if they can’t be ok with them. There are plenty of muslims and Christians for example who may believe homosexuality is a sin yet would never treat someone badly because they are gay, I don’t agree with them but I think it’s a civil right to have your beliefs, we must draw the line for example at preaching which spreads hate against gay people. We have to slap down people who behave in a way which is contrary to decent values immediately and publicly. We tolerate the intolerant too much.

Edited

Exactly this: We tolerate the intolerant too much.

And the ridiculous attempt by @DrPrunesqualer to blame Israel for Islamic extremists completely discredits everything else they have to say.

Yeah things generally get blamed on the jooos. Christ I feel sorry for Jews in Britain, this shit is just relentless. People need to take responsibility for themselves, this guy hates gay people because he’s been taught they are evil and depraved and need to be punished for it. Not the first time an attack on gay people has been done by an islamist, there was that gay nightclub in the USA as well.

Also this bullshit about generational trauma, I know quite a few lovely Lebanese people who have absolutely 100% never committed a terrorist attack and never would harm anyone (and don’t particularly mind gay people either) and they actually grew up in Lebanon during the actual civil war with people firing at their buildings and bombs going off. Some definitely have PTSD as well. But I’m supposed to believe this twat experienced so much trauma in the womb that he was forced to do this.

Somehow despite 99.99% of the violent attacks, terror, war etc being caused by men you have managed to blame a woman so well done (pre-natal malnutrition and trauma).

you are right, though when you say we cannot solve the world’s problems, so surely the sensible thing to do would be to minimise the amount of young men from war torn areas from settling here in the UK. (Especially if they have come from a malnourished mother.)

I've said this before, but it's racism packaged as being progressive. Israelis are coded as Western and therefore responsible for their own actions, people from other countries in the MENA region are not.
