Five things that are worth the money

upupandaway45 · 23/07/2026 18:04

There’s a fun trend going on on TikTok atm and I’ve been thinking about what my five would be.

My five.

Eating out/takeaways

Botox

Disneyland paris

My tv bed (so much money but worth every penny)

Tumble dryers

What would yours be?

  1. Tumble dryer
  2. Flora and Curl hair products (I have super curly hair and this is the only stuff that really works for me)
  3. AKT deodorant
  4. Decent theatre tickets
  5. My children

1- proper salted butter. With big crunchy crystals - French or Cornish is best

2- my bed, special pillows and bedding

3- good strong, cheddar cheese. I grew up really poor and promised myself I would never buy mild cheddar as an adult

4- theatre / musicals / concerts - I love giving my children opportunities and live experiences

5- holidays. I absolutely love going on holiday.

My iPad. I would be lost without it. Would be the one thing I would replace immediately.

The Wood burner in the winter, aircon in the summer. Ok, that’s technically two.

Gym membership.

Access to no1 lounges. I hate Gatwick. Lounge access makes it bearable.

Bi-monthly massages. Sorts my back out ( along with the gym sessions).

A lovely home with decent tv etc
My hot tub
A reliable car you enjoy driving (for its look, feel or whatever is important to you)
Shoes or trainers with the right heel to toe drop for my ankle issues! I couldn’t walk or run comfortably without them!

I love this thread idea! Not necessarily in any particular order, but for me:

  • My nail lamp and gel polishes so I can pamper myself at home
  • A good epilator
  • Car that is fully reliable and covered
  • Sky TV package (albeit only £24 a month currently, wouldn't be worth it at the old rate we left for)
  • Our dog (when we had him). Worth every vet bill and replacement furniture bill a hundred times over.
GG27 · 23/07/2026 21:23

Botox
Disney holidays (staying onsite particularly)
Colour catchers

Phillips Lumea - the hair free transformation has been fantastic.

Gym Membership - That post workout feeling once is unbeatable. Exercise, steam, shower and pamper every morning gives me a huge pep for my day.

Espresso machine - I need a proper coffee every morning. Grinding fresh beans and tamping down the coffee is a lovely morning ritual and better than takeaway.

Airfryer- I use this for every meal, amazing invention.

Revlon one step (round brush). Gives me a professional blow dry.
