If so, what are you doing?
It’s on here but I’m pottering in the garden.

Football? I haven't seen any of it.

I watched Emmerdale and Corrie, I have interest in football

Was sort of half watching it… too many “years of hurt” by England to let myself get too involved. Squealed when we scored, swore when they equalised and turned it off when they scored again. Must be getting old and grumpy as I couldn’t really be bothered with it this time round.
Really enjoy the Premier league and FA Cup so that’s back in a few weeks.

Me. I didn’t even know it was on. Literally couldn’t care less.

Watched that lovely Simon Reeves in the Greek Islands with my DM, so DF could watch the match with DH, then joined the garden watering club.
eta - kept up with the score based on the vocals for neighbours, sadly mostly groans rather than cheers.

I'm not. I went out to dinner: one of my favourite restaurants, the quietest I've ever seen it (guess why).

I'm not interested in football at all. But I've just heard England are out and I'm glad. Just consider what would have happened if they'd gone on to win the world cup. There would have been a lot of people in every town getting drunk. There would then have been a lot of nonsense talked about national revival. Nonsense, because it would have said nothing about the nation as a whole; it would merely have reflected well on the team and those who trained them (and I wouldn't have begrudged them that). The economy, overcentralisation, the coarsening of debate - these and other problems would have remained, and would have become slightly worse as attention was diverted for a while away from any thoughts of trying to solve them.
