If Count Binface wins, would he be allowed into the House of Commons?

I was just wondering, if he refused to take the bin off to get in through security, would he actually be allowed to physically enter parliament?🤔

Strangely in this election the bin has the advantage of appealing to people that are "fed up of the lot of them" in terms of politicians.

Informally that will be 100% of all the under 30s I know. Plus my neighbour. And his extended family. And his other neighbour who setup our street Whatsapp ...

Indeed it would be no different. The law is that you may not cover so much of your face that it is impossible to identify your face during the vote. Covid-style mouth coverings are allowed so long as your identity can be confirmed by visual inspection of your face.

I trust Binface to take the job seriously and put full effort into doing the hard-grift boring work of being a constituency MP and actually representing the interests of the people of Clacton way more than Farage - who can only be trusted to avoid anything that seems like hard work and represents only his own best interests

Well those that didn't vote for Farage in 2024 do. Those that did vote for Farage have got precisely what they voted for. It's not as though it wasn't obvious that Farage would never bother actually doing anything his constituency if elected - he never showed up to anything as an MEP that didn't benefit him financially, did he?

Slightly horrified that wearing certain clothes would preclude an MP attending a debate but still allow them to vote…and it’s possibly worse that they might be prevented from voting due to failing a dress code.
However, fingers crossed for Binface and his unusual electioneering attire.

I think it’s actually Führage who is making a mockery of the process with his fake by-election. We can all see straight through his little scheme to try and circumnavigate the scrutiny he is so desperate to avoid. Fortunately his plan has backfired spectacularly, as by the other mainstream parties refusing to participate in the sham, he’ll be forced straight back into Parliament to face the consequences.
