None at all

After Zia Yusuf accuses critics of endangering Reform politicians with violent language, he is read a list of quotes where he called Reform's opponents "lunatics who deserve extinction", "sick arsonists" and "traitors" who will face a "reckoning".

He says these are in "a totally different category"

So would that include the opposition parties within a Reform led Government?

Totally useless.

I hope he is invited to expand on that difference, repeatedly, until it haunts him forever.

Of course he does. What Yusuf says is always justified. 🙄

The speaker tries to set a pleasant tone for Starmer's last PMQs

DuncinToffee · 15/07/2026 12:08

Reeves looks quite upset which is understandable

Badenoch has been fine, she even praised Starmer for his support to Ukraine and Zelenskyy

And she made a Count Binface joke 😅

BIossomtoes · 15/07/2026 12:22

If only PMQs was always like this.

Farage Derangement Syndrome.

I was pleasantly surprised by Badenoch. The Clacton joke landed well and was quite clever as it led her nicely to asking about Burnham. Davey was good. Even Tice managed to be pleasant. The last question - statement really - from the Mp for Neath and Port Talbot was lovely. Starmer handled it all very well.

Agree.

What a brutal game politics is. I hope Starmer takes comfort in being able to be with his family more, he obviously loves them dearly.

DuncinToffee · 15/07/2026 13:04

Starmer's farewell at the end was really lovely.

I shed a tear during Carolyn Harris’ speech. If only Keir had shown more of his sense of humour he might not be leaving.

I had something in my eye for a second!

I was also pleasantly surprised by Badenoch. It was a lovely farewell to Keir Starmer, and very moving. I liked the reminder about his support for Zelenski after the Oval Room debacle at the hands of Trump and Vance, that was his finest hour for me.

Oh dear, I obviously meant Oval Office lol.

TemperanceWest · 15/07/2026 13:57

Badenoch came across as likeable and with some warmth. I do wish she could drop the persona she adopts for PMQs.

In general, it might be good is some MPs pondered over recess whether they need to think more about the examples they set when in the House and elsewhere in public.

This is Starmers farewell speech for anyone who missed it - apologies for the formatting

This will be my last answer from this despatch box.
Every prime minister knows when they take up the torch that the day will come when they have to pass it on. That day has come for me.
This is the end of my political journey.
In six years, we went from historic defeat in 2019 to historic victory in 2024, and in two years in government I leave the country in better shape than I found it.
I’m proud of everything that we have achieved.
Can I just take time to say to you, Mr Speaker, and all those who work for the house and in our constituency offices, thank you for all your hard work.
To our civil service, thank you also for all your hard work.
To my political team, many of them here today, who came on this journey with me, thank you so much for everything you have done, and being prepared to walk through fire for me.
To my colleagues on these benches, I am proud of all we have achieved together and proud of each and every one of you.
To my successor, and each of you, I will give my full support.
To all colleagues across the house, can I wish you good health and happiness.
To all those in the gallery, whose lives have been changed or improved by this Labour government, and all across the country who struggle to be seen or heard, you’re the reason I came into politics.
To my wife and children, I love you.
Goodbye.
