Despicable and disgraceful.

I can’t see that being a vote winner somehow.

This thread title is certainly apt given recent developments. It's not even August yet!

I certainly didn't think we would be discussing the ins and outs of Count Binface v Farage!

Brilliant, isn’t it? I haven’t enjoyed myself so much for years.

This Farage gimmick has made me smile. Poor Nigel.. nobody wants to play. Some of the posters/ memes posts on SM have been fabulous 😀I wish I lived near Clacton. I would definitely campaign for Binface.
The local Reform leader in my area ( who is an absolute knob) is not finding defending Farage easy and is completely unraveling, posting utter nonsense and commenting “ Andy Burnham”to anyone who criticises!
On the downside, one of the local Tory MPs has said that there is some leak re LGR and it is likely the option they are going to choose is absolutely the least favourable for my district.
@BIossomtoes did you see this? What did you think?

Haha - no! I think kids’ history lessons in 50 years will be a lot more interesting than mine were - though they may get confused with which lesson actually includes fiction!

SUTR, and I expect some other groups, are going to campaign against Nige - effectively this time backing the Count!

I wonder what dirt Reform will unearth about Count Binface.

They’re too busy trying to bury their own.

They’re too busy trying to bury their own.

Quite a novelty for Reform to have to campaign on their own strengths rather than merely going "Labour: Boo Hiss; Tories: Boo Hiss"

I'm sure whatever it is will be rubbish.

That’s what’s brilliant about it. He can’t position himself as the protest candidate so has to argue his position. And he doesn’t really have one.

‘Haughty disregard for democracy’ - and Parliamentary standards. Parliament is sovereign.

How can Binface uphold standards when he’s trying to avoid being investigated by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner?

Oh wait, that’s not right.

SerendipityJane · Today 18:25

Day 2, and fuck all from Reform while the Count* has not only hit the ground running, he's lapped the globe

*Interesting title, ultimately derived from the later Roman Empire.

Lowe wants to bring back guns. Or at the very least loosen restrictions.
What a boon to British society he is.

Restore Britain leader describes Dunblane tragedy as 'one murder' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj3gdj300lyo

His party are trying to brush this off on the basis that "obviously"he meant to refer to "one incident" and not "one murder". I don't know about anyone else, it doesn't seem to me that that makes it a whole lot better. Since when was the murder of 16 children and one adult, and severely injuring 15 other children, an "incident"?

You only have to look at the incidence of school shootings in the UK compared to the US to understand why we need these restrictions. How dumb do you have to be not to realise that?

Even Grimey has gone quiet after spending the weekend defending farage and backing up his most victimised spiel. Must be awaiting instructions.

SerendipityJane · Today 18:34

The idea that Nigel "man o' the people" Farage has been blindsided by the same people who bought you Boaty McBoatface is bringing comfort as the planet boils.

I was going to use that to pay my tax on the next thread. 🙁

SerendipityJane · Today 18:36

No true Englishman would have forgotten 😀

E2A: Of course the media - to ensure balance - will have to put Count Binface policies to Farage (will they do a head to head ?) just as they will put Farages policies to Count Binface.

Unless Farage wants to have a hissy fit. Which all the other parties - with literally nothing to lose - are free to make hay with.

All over the silly season.

If the UK could harness 1% of the perfection that this event has been crafted with,we'd be as rich as Farage.

He is appealing to the American right, that where his support is

Despicable

And how dare he say he is the most attacked MP against the hate that Black MPs receive and against the backdrop of two murdered MPs?

Yes, he really should compare notes with Diane Abbott.

Plus, of course, he's not really in a position to complain about attacks based on the £5 million bung and the Cottrell connection.
