Shopping's coming tomorrow so not much of anything to be had here. I do have chicken breasts & bacon. So maybe something with those.

What are you having?

OP posts:
Beansandbats · 30/06/2026 17:15

Salmon, mash, tenderstem broccoli, parsley sauce

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 30/06/2026 17:15

The sort of breaded fish fillets you just stick in the oven for 20 minutes (Sainsbury’s Nectar price 🙂), Jersey Royals, salad.

But adapted to my fussy family, so no chilli, cheddar not parmesan, less dumplings and pasta on the side instead!!

Ohhh this looks lovely! Im going to save this, does it go well with the pasta?

Yes, absolutely! I have some pasta and some dumplings for the best of both worlds...

What is this 'tea' that you speak of?

Do you mean dinner?

Pretty sure she means tea.

mackerella · 30/06/2026 18:00

Posh fingers (the chunky ones from Waitrose) in a wrap with baby spinach, grated carrot and shredded cabbage (and mayo for those that want to make the salad into coleslaw). We always have a very quick meal on Tuesdays because of evening activities, and it's often halloumi/roast veg/whatever in a wrap, with salad!

NormasArse · 30/06/2026 18:01

I had shredded roast beef with sesame seeds, purple radish, chilli flakes and spring onions. I wasn’t very hungry, and I had no gluten free wraps.

Yes she means dinner but you knew that !

Of course the PP knew that!
The humour is obvious.
By the by, everyone knows tea is a refreshing beverage.

ChipswithMayonnaise · 30/06/2026 18:16

Stressful couple of days.
Guinness and a variety pack of lentil chips.

chirpybird87 · 30/06/2026 18:40

Garlic and herb pasta using those Pizza Express seasoning you can buy at the supermarket (and their recipe from the back of the packet)

Imadeit · 30/06/2026 18:42

Dairylee on toast 🤦‍♀️😂

A summery bowl of chickpeas or lentils with cucumber, tomato, sweetheart cabbage and/or spinach, beetroot, boiled eggs, halloumi and a bit of hummus and a dressing of oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. Nice and easy weekday staple.

This sounds delicious.

EdinaTheConfessor · 30/06/2026 19:22

I am also waiting for shopping tomorrow so hodge podged what I had in the fridge/cupboards. It ended up being a chicken and chickpea chipotle stew.
It was nice.

Freezer tea tonight cheese and potato gratins, southern fried chicken, onion rings and baked beans

Love a freezer tea!

bedfrog · 30/06/2026 20:17

I've been chef-ing it up and have made a smoked haddock and pea risotto!! It's absolutely delicious. With parsley from the garden, and a side salad also from the garden 😇

LanyardSpaghetti · 30/06/2026 20:47

My family had jacket spuds, various toppings and salad. I had dinner at a work thing. The jacket spud would have been better, tbf.

SideboobToYouToo · 30/06/2026 20:50

I had veg gyoza and chicken katsu from Wasabi.
I'm in London atm on a v tight budget and it was reduced!

PunksVersusBrats · 30/06/2026 20:50

DS GF has moved in with us she is making homemade smash burgers and wedges with a salad and coleslaw. So that’s brilliant for me :)

mondaytosunday · 30/06/2026 21:17

We had chicken and new potato salad, with mixed leaves. I made a sort of peanut dressing (peanut butter, soy, sweet chilli sauce) and before I took the chicken off tossed in the potatoes, added a south American spice mix, garlic, lime and honey. Then toss with the leaves and peanut dressing. Crushed peanuts and a mayo/lime sauce drizzled on top.

Peoniesallgone · 30/06/2026 21:35

Beetroot, new potatoes, courgettes with vegan black pudding. Rhubarb crumble. Been harvesting from the allotment (not the black pudding, obvs)
