Shopping's coming tomorrow so not much of anything to be had here. I do have chicken breasts & bacon. So maybe something with those.

What are you having?

Love a freezer tea. Top marks for onion rings too!

BBQ chicken and chips with corn on the cob and coleslaw I think. I think I have bacon, so might be hunters chicken now that it's been mentioned.

What’s in your spicy mince please? Thanks

Hi - it’s this. Tasty and easy. Not too spicy but I add quite a bit of chilli sauce to mine

Minced Beef Fried Rice

Minced beef fried up with hoisin, lemongrass and garlic then tossed with easy egg fried rice - it makes a fantastic, easy and economical dinner for the whole family.

Homemade chicken curry with yoghurt instead of coconut block for a low-fat option.

There’s aome lovely sounding meals on here, it’s inspiring. I realllllly dislike having to decide and cook it, I’ll probably just have a cheese sandwich! I wish I could get some motivation back - I used to love it but haven’t since I became an empty-nester.

SENcatsandfish · 30/06/2026 16:56

Tuesday is always freezer tea for us because we’re all out til 8, but I picked up some fresh filled pasta at the weekend and we’re having that with some peppers/onions/tomatoes, plus some extra protein in the form of 1/2 bag prawns and some left over cooked chicken from the freezer. Sounds dreadful but with a drizzle of chilli oil on top it’ll look banging and probably taste good too. We’ll be too hungry to care much.

DeedlessIndeed · 30/06/2026 17:06

I also need to do a shop, so it is leftover butternut squash, potato and chickpeas made into a curry. With some cardamom rice and homemade flatbread.

BlindSpotForCats · 30/06/2026 17:09

Omelette and salad for me. Chicken and ham salad for the DCs. Boring but tasty

farmlass · 30/06/2026 17:09

My version of tarte au flet
bought fridge pizza base or can use puff pastry
crème freche
onions
ham or bacon cut up
cold cut up potatoes
salt pepper and cheese to top
oven for 20+ minutes
salad (and chips for the other half )
