22 in my lounge. But that is with dehumidifier running at full blast because otherwise my walls have been literally pouring with condensation !!! For context I live in a 400+ year old house with 1.5m thick stone walls downstairs in places. The ambient temperature during a normally hot sunny day is around a cool 17-18 degrees in the lounge. Because of the humidity for the last few days the dew point has been around 24 degrees which means as soon as that hot air hits my cool walls it instantly turns into droplets of water (like the outside of a cold glass on a hot day).

I have never seen anything like it before in 16 years of living here! Dehumidifier has been doing a grand job and all dried up now since I’ve had it running 🤞

30 in the windowless hallway, 32 in the bedroom, 33 in the living room. All curtains and windows closed because it's apparently still 34 outside. I've given up using the living room for the last two evenings in favour of the very slightly cooler bedroom. I am so fed up of feeling hot and sweaty. I can't even escape at work as the office is over 30.

dicdicnurse · 25/06/2026 20:18

32.6 in the living room.

camerontucker · 25/06/2026 20:32

22 upstairs and down.

1985goingbackagain · 25/06/2026 20:32

27 on the upstairs landing- absolute bliss as it’s usually a struggle to get above 12. Still wearing my sheepskin slippers on the ground floor 🙂. It’s a 200 year old house and horrendously cold 90% of the year!

Nannyfannybanny · 25/06/2026 20:40

Apparently when I was a toddler, I used to say dicdicnurse, she was our next door neighbour. My DSs who both live in flats, told me to keep blind, curtains, windows closed, wished I hadn't! It's a bungalow, normally the living room window would be open one end, kitchen window, back door the other. Going back outside with my book now!

29c downstairs and 32 upstairs

Rubyslipperswitch · 25/06/2026 21:11

South East (Kent coast), 25.5 downstairs :).

It’s an old stone building with very thick walls. We’ve had the windows and south facing blinds closed all day.

Mine is a Victorian terrace. Windows and blinds also shut all day 8am to 9pm this week. So similarish . Except that yours isn’t an oven!

Notasunshineinsight · 25/06/2026 21:16

South. 31 in the house that is with ventilation and fans and thermal blinds. 47 on digital sensor at bottom of the garden (in the sun)

feellikeanalien · 25/06/2026 21:19

19 downstairs and 23 upstairs. We live in a 200 year old terrace cottage with very thick walls and slightly dodgy roof insulation. In the NE of England.

Lucky you. Also south east here and lots of air moving but it’s only hot air so not feeling refreshing at all. Also not lowering the indoor temp at all

Similar here (north Hampshire) coolish breeze on the balcony, all doors & windows open but inside the house is still 36°🥵

more of the same tomorrow
muggy Saturday

holding out for Sunday, then a week
of rain 🙇🏻‍♀️

why can't we just have some nice blue sky days in the mid 20's??? Please!!

WanderlustMom · 25/06/2026 21:21

29.5 in living room
32+ in the front bedrooms

JacJac77 · 25/06/2026 21:23

26 in bedroom, about 27 in lounge, flat in London. I have been religious about keeping curtains and blinds closed. It'd probably be cooler if I hadn't had the dehumidifier going which generates a bit of heat.

FWC2026 · 25/06/2026 21:24

Teenagerantruns · 25/06/2026 20:03

Definitely no air conditioning....im not sure it would even work in a kitchen with grills and 4 ovens? We are illegally proping open the fire escape door lets hope food inspector dosent turn up...

If they do, shut them in there.

Pineconepie · 25/06/2026 21:26

20 in my bedroom thank goodness.
Quite a bit hotter in the sitting room and kitchen though.
I’m in Ireland.

Chipsahoy · 25/06/2026 21:27

14c outside after 22c all day, fog has rolled in. It’s 20c in the house. NE Scotland

Tallestone · 25/06/2026 21:28

32 at the moment it's too bloody hot. I was thinking it was the last day today and was looking forward to the cooler temperature tomorrow but that's not happening

ClaredeBear · 25/06/2026 21:32

30 this evening and now 29.5

Actually since I posted while the temp is still mid twenties outside and high twenties inside it definitely feels less muggy than last night

Hmmmmwineandchocs · 25/06/2026 21:45

22, York, had all windows and doors open since 6:45 and there is a good breeze, they’ll all be open again first thing to get as much cool air as possible before the cloudy 32 degree temperatures.

Iliketulips · 25/06/2026 21:47

Falling, currently 29.3c in lounge and 30.3c. Outdoor temp 28c, so opened everything up about 15 mins ago.

I got up at 4.45am, everything possible was opened, then closed about three hours later and curtains closed.

EasternStandard · 25/06/2026 22:05

26.7

AutumnLover1990 · 25/06/2026 22:09

31 in Staffordshire 😡🥵

3678194b · 25/06/2026 22:11

28 downstairs 31 upstairs. This is in an 'amber' area. Keep checking the breeze outside but it still feels warm out there. The fans are just circulating warm air.
