Ritchie Anderson on radio 2

He's covering for Trevor Nelson and now has his own jingle. They're testing the waters for his own show I think now there's about to be a reshuffle.
There is something about him that really gets on my wick and he's ruined escape to the country now too.
I like Ellie who's been doing Sara's show, use her instead please BBC!

Just heard on the news that Trevor Nelson is taking a break due to illness.

I love Trevor and hope he’s back soon, but I hope that doesn't mean that Richie is covering for the foreseeable? ☹️

Once Gary has finished i switch to radio1until Jo is on at 7, but i think she is missing now!!

Has there been any rumours about who’s getting the drive time gig? All I’ve heard is people saying who’s they’d like but not sure I’ve seen any credible rumours.

I've not seen anything about drive time yet. The silence is deafening!

I don't really like Trevor's music choices (prefer rocky styles Vs soul) but I think he is an excellent DJ. Hope he is well soon.

I think Gary Davis has said he doesn't want his own show. Same with Mark Goodier. They do other things and are happy covering. Gutted about Trevor. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. I love his afternoon show and love his music choices. Stuff you don't hear the rest of the day on Radio 2.

I do think the silence is deafening too- there must be conversations going on! Normally there’s leaks.

Before Richie left recently for a break he was chatting with one of the other djs and they basically said something big is happening with Richie but it's top secret. So my guess is he is getting his own show.
I doubt he would get drive time so my guess is Vernon moves to drive and Richie gets mid morning.

I think Richie doing Ken Bruce’s travel was the catalyst for the latter moving to Greatest Hits Radio. You could feel his annoyance through the radio, and he’s a polite man. Zoe Ball is shifting to Greatest Hits, I can’t stand her gushing ways. I hope she is not taking over from Kate Thornton who I like.

Radio 2 used to be my favourite, but I can't think of any DJs that I want to listen to on it now. Shame.

I think Richie Anderson must be a delight to work with. He must be someone who’s quick to say yes, doesn’t grumble when other people fuck up, gets stuck in with anything that needs doing etc because I can’t work out why the bbc has gone out of their way to try to make him a star when there’s so many more talented people out there. It must be something like everyone who’s worked with him loves him so even though there’s always someone more talented they could hire for a job, he gets booked.

That or he’s got some serious dirt on someone high up in the beeb.

I suspect your first assumption is correct. He does come across like that.
