Just a bit of fun! Feel free to join.

I’ll give 5 facts about where I live and see if anyone guesses the right answer.

  1. 15 minutes from an airport
  2. Lots of pubs/charity shops
  3. 30 mins from inner city
  4. Very white British/little diversity
  5. Pork pies!

New Forest

Beaulieu? Lyndhurst?

Speckson · 20/06/2026 19:11

Town where I lived as a child:
There's a town of the same name on the south island of New Zealand.
It was in an antique show on Channel 4 this year called The Antiques Riviera.
It has a Portreeve not a Mayor.

@Speckson Ashburton

LOL, that was quick. I have never seen that antiques programme, was just told about it, and when I lived there it was a somewhat rough market town. No antiques shops!
My father and grandfather were both portreeve however which probably gives my identity away 😄

BrownTroutBluesAgain · 20/06/2026 19:26

Only if you have a few bottles of diamond white, go on the sticky fly and then hang out with some
20/20 at the Mill!
