31, Leeds. No air con, no fan, off work today and it’s hell. I want to go outside as I love walking but I just can’t do it. Have to wait til at least 6pm 😭

if I was on holiday I’d love this. But I’m not on holiday. There is no air con, no pool, and I have to clean my flat and do the washing. It’s rank.

There is a breeze outside, but it's hot air!

Officially 31, but my garden thermometer (in the shade) is reading 38, as is the car. My south facing bedroom, with windows closed and blackout blinds down, as recommended, is currently 45 bloody degrees. Thank god I bought portable air con!

33 outside (apparently), 34.5 indoors (home office) - I just had a 5 minute lie down on the bathroom floor (coolest place in the house).

Official weather station 1.5 miles away is recording 33.54c, our own outdoor thermometer is recording 35.5c. I've got two inside showing 29c, the one upstairs was showing 31c around noon - I'm not in a rush to go and check it😕

31 here in the north west. I'm working inside with all the curtains closed and a big fan on.

Accuweather says 31c but feels like 33c.

Inside thermometers both hovering around 30c.

Much, much better than yesterday when it was 33c but felt like 38c (and it really did feel like 38c)

Humidity is lower today as well at 51%.

It's still fucking awful but comparatively a lot more bearable today.

Direct sunshine on a hot wall is not going to give you an accurate temperature reading.

26 degrees at 5 p.m. Still a bit hot for me. My sympathies to those of you with temperatures well into the 30s.

Still 28 here, house has been heating up all week despite my best efforts, so although outside is slightly cooler than this time yesterday, inside the house is getting unbearable.

I’m feeling very over this now 😩

Got 30° outside but my bedroom is 33.5°!

33.5 upstairs!!

DH splurged on a fancy two bit double airbed from Aldi’s “aisle of dreams” last weekend. I had a comparatively cool night slumbering on it in the lounge with the back door open (lightening was about 10km away so not as horrid as the start of the week and limited rain). Bedroom has cooled down to 30 degrees.

28 in the bedroom when we got up at 7am.

The bastard house is utterly incapable of retaining heat in winter but hangs on to it for grim death in summer.

We’ve been hovering around 28-31. We’ve had a cracking good thunderstorm this morning though so hopefully will feel a bit fresher.

Weather app is saying 37, feels like 38.
I feel cheated because I thought today was supposed to be marginally "cooler" than the previous two days!

Loving how quickly the laundry dries to a crisp though ☀️

Bedroom was 29 last night, moved portable air con unit in for couple of hours and was tolerable. DS had it in his bedroom after, we staggered times. It’s been one of the best buys ever.

22°C with a bit of a breeze. That's 11° cooler than yesterday. Still a bit humid, but so much nicer. DS has worn uniform to school instead of PE kit. They had a choice.

I have a mattress protector that usually takes all day on the line, even in summer. It dried in less than 2 hours yesterday. 😁

We woke up to blazing hot sun but it's clouded over now and the temp has dropped like a stone to 22. Hang in there, it's heading eastwards!

So hiyt this morning it was ridiculous but there is a breeze which is helping slightly.
