I am going to get flamed for this....
I saw a vid of MTG. In a committee meeting I think. And someone had a graph up. And it struck me, she could not read the graph. She did not understand it.
And no shame in that. Loads of people that can't read graphs. But thing is, in the past she would not have stood for congress. Self doubt, self censorship of sorts. Fear of shame. Lots of reasons.
But now she is empowered. Now not understanding things, even what are considered the basics, is not a barrier.
And now it is in the open, rather than being a shameful secret, maybe it will raise awareness and also standards. Or efforts anyway.
Then again, maybe not.
