They're disgusting sugary shite aren't they?

So, which one is your favourite? 😅

Used to love the lemon slices & mini battenburg. But they just seem oily now.
Never liked the french fancies. So sweet & sickly.

Third place yellow (sweet sugary lemon), second place brown (sweet sugary chocolate), first place pink (sweet sugary ... um ... sugar, I suppose).

Yum

If someone put a whole box of French Fancies in front of me now at 8:02am I would happily eat them all 😆

I would heartily regret it afterwards and spend the whole day with indigestion, but, my goodness I could chow down on them.

I'd eat the chocolate ones first to get them out of the way, then have two pink ones, a lemon one, the last pink one, then the last lemon one.

I would eat at least one by the bottom up method; i.e. eat all the sponge and then the top with the cream. Probably a pink one as they lend themselves better to that method because the icing seems slightly stiffer.

I never tasted the giant one, and now it is no longer marketed. My greatest regret.

Oh my days the bottom up method could sound so sleazy anywhere else. Best post I've ever read I want to buy a box and do exactly what @InterestingDuck is imploring, I mean advocating, suggesting? Let's go.

HowDairy · 20/06/2026 14:57

Do it @Luddite26 ! 😆

There are lots on here I've never tried.
Time to remedy that methinks... 😌

I bought a box of Bakewell slices, reduced to £1.51, feel like I've hit the jackpot 😆
