A small handbag mirror, which has a normal mirror one side and a magnifying one the other. I was given it more than 10 years ago as part of a secret Santa with a £15 price limit. Against all my expectations, it’s almost as good as new, with barely a scratch, despite all the years bumping around in my makeup bag with other stuff.

A gift to myself that is most useful: a travel shaving mirror I bought for a camping trip. 3X Magnifying Mirror | Toiletries | Savers
Contact lens insertion/removal
Hair styling
Make-up applying
Checking rear view in another mirror
...

A video of one of my favourite films from my soon to be DH back in Christmas 1990. I'd only briefly mentioned this film to him maybe a year before and the fact that he remembered was so touching.

A little tray one cup size with the most lovely pattern on it from my godmother. She gave it to me in the 1980s and its saved many a carpet from coffee spillage. Its as fresh as the day I got it.

A couple of Christmases ago, my best friend gave me a photograph in a frame and a shirt.
The photo was of me and her older brother (who was the love of my life, and who died way too young) and on the photo he's wearing the shirt she gave me.
And she'd sprayed it with his aftershave.
All it cost was the price of the photo frame, but it means the world to me. I wouldn't part with it for a million pounds.

A set of stainless steel measuring spoons. I must use them almost every day.

A quartz eye mask. As someone with migraines it’s a game changer. And when I was given it I thought what an odd gift. But no. It’s been one of the best things I’ve ever been gifted.

A pair of tiny gold tweezers from Tweezerman. Wouldn’t normally pay more for a brand. They came in a tiny gold pouch and live in my handbag and they are brilliant.

Good tweezers are worth their weight in gold. I love the swiss army knife ones.

A strawberry huller.

Life changing.

A Stanley cup. I got it from my two friends for my birthday. At first I thought it was a bit of a rubbish present. However I have an hour and 40 mins commute every day and I work outside. This thing keeps my tea warm for HOURS. I use it every day and think of my lovely friends when I do.

My friend gets terrible migraines. Do you have a link please?
