Fairy lights. I love them and they bring me so much joy. I remember being a child and putting away the xmas decs with my mum. I told her that when I was older I'd always have Christmas lights up all year round, and I do.

Plastic shopping 'bags for life' which seem to mate and reproduce with great regularity in the cupboard under the stairs.

I had a clear out last week and got rid of about 40 bags for life - we still have about 20!!!

MrsAvocet · 05/04/2026 16:22

Bikes. But as quite a lot of them are mine I can't complain!

youandyourelk · 05/04/2026 16:22

Lamb stock cubes. We live in foreign and they are a rare best. Friends and family have cottoned on to our predicament which means we get them brought to us frequently - faster than they can be consumed.

Light. Most striking feature of the house - floor to ceiling windows across the whole length, plus roof lights in the rooms on the other side.

Fortunately not overlooked as there are no blinds/ curtains.

Acorns in the bloody garden! Two oaks which are beautiful - BUT this year the acorns have been wild! They are huge and the most we've ever had fall. It's like a shag pile acorn carpet and an absolute pain to collect them up especially from the gravel path 😫

You need some pigs!

Allseeingallknowing · 05/04/2026 16:30

Everything!

Ihad2Strokes · 05/04/2026 16:30

yarn

old notebooks/diaries/other accumulated emotional/setimental paper stuff.

Not enough lego though if anyone wants to get rid of some!!

8TinyToeBeans · 05/04/2026 16:31

Tarantulas - 23 of them.

Dust...no matter how often I dust there's always more!

Screamingabdabz · 05/04/2026 16:35

Dust. So much of the fucking stuff.

I used to laugh at people wasting their life “dusting”… why was it even a thing? ha ha ha silly sillies…Oh karma is a bitch…I can wipe a thick carpet of it virtually twice a day (only two of us in the house no pets!) Maybe it’s an old fogey thing and we’re slowly desiccating away.
