A Ryvita , marmite , and Longley cottage cheese . Food of the gods .

Other than on hot buttered toast , what's your go it must have with marmite food .

Love it. Have it every day.

On seedy bread with avocado on top.
Or on a crumpet with butter.
Yum!

Love it with butter on toast/crumpets.

Love a Marmite and tomato sandwich, too. Fabulous.

Drinking it/putting it sauces or pasta: no from me.

Vegemite is VILE. An Aussie in law kindly gave us some when she visited. We all wanted to like it. We all loathed it. Dh won't throw it away as it was a gift, so it lurks in the cupboard. One day it may unfortunately fall out into the bin.

LOVE! Our local bakery does a cheese and marmite sourdough, with swirls of marmite running through it and big globs of cheese that melt when you toast it. It is DIVINE.

LOVE marmite, I have it on toast at least 5 days a week. Yum 😋

Big Marmite fan here, but it's only fair to say that the Aldi and Tesco own brand versions are just as good. And I agree that Vegemite is awful. Sorry to all the Aussie Mumsnetters, but you don't know what you're missing.

I love it too , like pp I think it goes really well with eggs , so my weekend breakfast is poach eggs on buttered and marmite toast.
I buy standard jars about once a month but a couple of times a year buy a jar of XO 😋

I’m the same and know others who think it’s ok and neither love it or hate it. I eat it for the vitamins as I don’t mind the taste.

Hate it. 🤢 But not as much as I hate when people say ‘I’m like Marmite, you either love me or you hate me,’ thinking they’re being dead original. 🙄

I love Marmite, I eat it straight out of the jar.
I love gherkins, olives etc. strong flavours.

I thought I must surely love Vegemite, must be lovely.
Bought a jar when it was on offer, it was horrible!
The consistency is very strange, it doesn't break down in your mouth. I don't think you can compare the two.

I wouldn't eat it every day, or even every month but I do like it. I particularly like it on roasted cauliflower.

Love Marmite, but my family hate it!

For years, I’ve kept my ‘Mum’s Legendary Roast Potato’ recipe a secret…everyone loves them and nobody can replicate them.

Of course, my ‘Secret Ingredient’ is Marmite! They’ve been eating them forever, without knowing that the delicious flavour, colour and texture is due to Marmite ☺️🤭
