Please tell me your tales of accidentally liking your ex's new girlfriend's best friend's 12 year old graduation photo on social media to make me feel better because I have done something similar last night 😭😆

Immediately went into witness protection by blocking and deactivating facebook, I am old enough to know better 😫

I did worse.

After my husband's funeral, his ex turned up on my doorstep - she was bent on persuading me to place the ashes in a place of her choosing. (Obligatory: no, I wasn't the OW. The ex is currently with her 4th man.)

I bit my tongue and told her that they'd already been scattered. (This had been discussed with DH's adult children.)

A month or so later, after I'd had my diazepam, I had a vent on FB. 5 minutes later I went back to delete.

To my horror, I'd set it to 'friends' instead of 'private' and DH's daughter had seen it. I'd referred to her mother as "a bunny boiler".

Back in the day when you could tag yourself into someone else's photos on FB I noticed a friend of mine had tagged herself in a photo of her ex and his new gf that the new gf had posted on her account. I spotted it and told her, so hopefully it was removed before they were made aware. I was mortified for her.

When I first started using Facebook I accidentally sent a friend request to my ex-H who I hadn't seen for about 20 years!

I was mortified but he actually accepted it and we had a nice chat. 😄

You know you can remove your like immediately, right? And then they'd never know.

I remember years ago on Twitter Ed Balls wrote a status simply saying Ed Balls.

It went down in Twitter history as 'Ed Balls Day', shared by many on its anniversary (although haven't seen it mentioned just lately).

He'd clearly meant to search his own name but inadvertently posted the status instead.

Please ignore last post from me.

I’ll go have a look about in classics. It’s a brilliant thread. About embarrassing tech blunders.

The other story that made me laugh was the poster who had a crush on the new guy in the office. She found out his address and put it in to google maps. But pressed ‘start navigation’ and then google maps read out ‘starting navigation to ‘new man’s address’. If have left the job 😂.

Yes, I remember the sat nav howler - priceless!

I think it can show up in notifications on your phone though and doesn't go away unless you clear it. I'm not entirely sure about likes but I had a friend request in my notifications one day from my DPs ex wife. It wasn't there when I logged into Facebook so obviously she did it by accident nosy-parkering at my profile! lol.

Oh god this is giving me flashbacks to when is instagram added the share button and I was snooping on ex’s page and accidentally shared a photo of him and new gf. I didn’t realise for a few days either!!
