As the title, what hobbies do you have whether they’re old, new, solo, clubs etc?

I’m in my 30s with one baby and would love to have a hobby/ hobbies to do in the little free time I do have and need some inspiration. I have been into fitness in the past and loved dancing when I was younger but a lot of the classes around me aren’t aimed at adults. I haven’t been able to exercise much since having a baby and during pregnancy, I will definitely be getting back into this but I’m aware it will be a long and slow process.

Would love to hear what you all enjoy whether it’s home based, fitness, crafts - anything and everything!

I love diamond painting, especially while listening to a podcast or audiobook. Winning combo for me.

Cross stitch while watching tv. Same with crochet.

Aqua aerobics is my main form of fitness and I love it! I try to go twice a week.

ArcticSkua · 14/03/2026 21:32

Reading, running, Pilates.

Sirzy · 14/03/2026 21:32

Weightlifting, cross stitch and reading.

YelramBob · 14/03/2026 21:34

I'm a gym, running and pilates bore 🫣

LyndaSnellsSniff · 14/03/2026 21:35

Yoga and jigsaws. My jigsaws are done on a portable board which I stash under the sofa.

-I crochet whilst watching TV
-Cold water swimming year round
-Gardening. Mainly growing veg in the summer

In the past I've done pilates, a beginner massage therapy course, a weekly cooking class, cross stitch, made latch hook rugs and made padded coat hangers.

When we bought our current house, they left a large jar of sea glass. I recently bought a deep frame from B&M and plan to have a go at sea glass prints.

I had never heard of diamond painting, I’ve just looked it up it’s looks fun and very therapeutic! What do you do with all of your finished pieces?

I’ve got a noticeboard I pin my favourite ones up on. But my absolute faves are the 30x30 canvas ones from craft buddy Here which I have up round the house. I’m just working on the lavender fields one and it’s gorgeous.

Please tell me more about this @tinyspiny as I get so bored on the treadmill but also hate walking outside when it’s so cold!

mindutopia · 14/03/2026 21:51

I have too many.

Hiking and wild swimming. I live in a very wild part of the UK so can do both right out my front door.

Gardening and I do some amateur flower arranging. I have a horse, so horseback riding and horse training. I keep chickens (is that a hobby?). Travelling and I do lots of walking holidays.

My dc are school age now, but pretty much as soon as they weren’t breastfeeding, I was off!

PersephoneSmith · 14/03/2026 21:54

I’m in 2 choirs, love singing, it’s very good for the soul. Plus I have a serious theatre habit. I do try to go every weekend.

tinyspiny · 14/03/2026 21:56

@PearlsTeapot I can see the TV from my treadmill and if you look on YouTube there are lots of walking tours , I’m currently halfway round Paris , it does make it more interesting .

Horse owner so lots of mucking out and riding. Gym classes three times a week, hike maybe once a week, dancing twice a week and reading. I'm in bed by 8pm 5 nights a week though as I'm absolutely exhausted 🫩

1000StrawberryLollies · 14/03/2026 22:13

Knitting, crochet, spinning (on a spinning wheel), reading, yoga, pilates.

begonefoulclutter · 14/03/2026 23:05

Family history, learning the bass guitar, choir, growing succulents, sudoku, and I'm writing a novel. We like going to the theatre, and I also love gardening and collecting vintage costume jewellery. I've also got a large stamp collection and some bonsai trees.

I think I have too many hobbies to be honest!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 14/03/2026 23:42
