I was wondering about the reports of US Marines on the way. They are departing the US west coast apparently. I get sailing time as 37 days. That's a commercial ship, so we could say 25 days for a military ship?

25 days. That's more than 2 weeks. And we know he works on 2 weeks max. The other ships with the mine kit was reported in Malaysia. 8 days for that. So potentially a few days away.

The world is a pretty big ball. I have a suspicion that Trump is a flat earther, or at least borderline. My theory is that travel time is just too long for him. And amphibious landing ships etc have to sail. They can't be airlifted of course.

So yup, it's the two week attention span.

And I think we can throw Cuba in too. I am positive he wants Cuba. And He has probably asked his Generals, and they have told him it will take at least a month if the Navy is in the Middle East. Too long.

I reckon he will have a gold lined bunker for Mar a Lago already in mind. When he kicks off against Cuba he will get it built on expanses. And a bunker hanger for his Qatar jet.

A new Politico poll finds that only 12 percent of 2024 Trump voters oppose the war in Iran so far.

But they will probably be ecstatic when Trump mamboes into Cuba, as will the Cubans in Miami etc, so he needs to time the invasion before the Mid Terms.

For my part, I still have reservations over the UK allowing their bases to be used for Iran as I fear mission creep and the ability of US to keep to the terms. In much the same way that the current WH administration has created and applied new mega definitions for words.

Unless he has forgotten, Venezuela is still bubbling away and I strongly suspect that the Falklands will used as a stick with which to beat Starmer and the UK. He will aim to broker a deal between the UK and Argentina but in the event of invasion, would support the latter. And I do not think that he mistook Iceland for Greenland - both are on his radar.

Cuba is next, though. Will China or Russia or even N Korea intervene?
