I get tissues from Naked Paper but the boxes are so ugly! They are rectangular rather than square, please share your nice tissue box covers with me.

Agreed, I don't get how people use a bowl for tissues because they don't feed out properly and who's got the patience to keep faffing about with a cover every time you change boxes

I have a bamboo wooden one from IKEA if that's not too frou-frou for the delicate members of the thread?

It annoys me because i can only fit half a box of tissues in it at a time, but it is great when you only have a few left because you don't pull up the box when you try to pull one out, it stays firmly in place.

What do you do with the pocket size ones in the little plastic packets? It would be nice to make a little reusable pouch so you could just take tissues out of the box if you don’t have packets handy and aren’t going anywhere to buy some.

I have got quite invested in this thread despite wondering why on earth you’d want to cover tissue boxes when I read the title 😂. I’d actually really like a pretty portable tissue holder now!

I only have tissues "out" daily in the lounge room so that's where the pretty box is. In my bedroom the original box lives in a drawer and comes out for colds.

at the risk of some pp sniffing at my handiwork - i make little pouches for packets of tissues.

I don't like buying plastic wrapped things, so i tend not to buy those tissues now, but a while back we used to get bamboo loo-roll and little folded tissues (half the size of those plastic packs) that just came in a massive cardboard box. So i made us all little pouches to put about 10 tissues in. They've gone bust now so i need other uses for the pouches.

People keep mentioning those doll toilet paper covers from the 70s and 80s. I'm very clumsy. As a kid those things were bloody dangerous around me. I think I had a close to 100% track record for knocking them into the loo when flushing. People kept putting them on the tanks and when you focus really hard on not hitting something, you tend to hit it. Recently my mum has revived hers. Lord knows where she has kept it all these years. I had to relocate it to the basket for it's own safety.

I bought a wooden blanket tissue box cover and used smart thick wrapping paper and spray adhesive to stick it down.
Think I got mine from Hobbycraft but other models are available.

What about kitchen roll? Does that need a fancy cover?

I have a tissue box cover, looks much better than the bright blue or green cardboard box they come in from Tesco!

I use tissues when I have a cold, blot lipstick with it in between coats, wipe and clean blood off scratches from cat or roses, wipe my face if it's sweaty, all sorts of things. I always have at least one box on the go.

Those boxes you buy are definitely ugly OP, I'd want to cover them even though I don't cover mine.

Having seen those fabric covered boxes linked in a previous post which sell for £32, I've realised I can easily make one, may well have a go and elevate my tissue boxes!

Can you make me one too please? Is love to hide the tissues from all of the above issues (🤭). True though.. I also need a massive kitchen roll hider as I use plenty of rolls of the stuff per week (🤭)
