It’s almost 5am so if you’re awake like me why?
I went to bed early last night and was asleep by 10pm, woke up at 4.30 so got up and currently having a coffee.
I’m working today so today is going to be a long day.
Why are you awake?

Bloody menopause

Sleep has been terrible the last month or so waking in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep. Also work is stressful so makes getting back to sleep harder!

It’s so frustrating

Thinking of getting a cuppa.

What will you do with the rest of the morning?

I’m due in work at 8am so I’ll make DD’s packed lunch and then have a shower. I’ve got some washing to catch up on but don’t want to put the washing machine on this early, I’ll probably potter around until it’s time to wake dd up then get her ready for school

I’m worrying about a health problem and dd woke up after a nightmare. Fortunately I’m off work sick so don’t have to worry too much about the late night.

Bloody cat wanted to go out at 4.40! Alarm goes off at 5.30 and knew i wouldn't get back to sleep so am browsing on here instead!

My partner coughed in his sleep around 3am and woke me up.

Bet he’s sleeping happily oblivious 🤣

I’m awake because it’s 9am here in Abu Dhabi and I’m stuck here

I slept 7.30-4.30 so I’m good but dd collects a particular group of jellycats and there’s one that was “retired” which they’ve just released again and I’ve bagged one so she’ll be thrilled !

I’m awake because I’m worrying about debt. I’ve just logged into my online banking and realised I’ve been paying my car insurance with 2 different companies for 6 months. I’m upset and anxious and angry with myself

@Iocanepowderi remember when my dd was that age, she got up between 4 and 5am every single day. It was hell.
Thankfully she grew out of it, she’s 10 now and I have to drag her out of bed on a morning

I’m going to call them asap, I’m just very frustrated at myself and my baby brain, I don’t know how I’ve been so stupid

the debt isn’t an awful amount but I don’t have it, it’s a bill that my partner thinks I’ve been paying so that’s what’s making me feel physically sick

Look up duplicated insurance rules. I believe ,or it used to always be that both companies have to pay you back half your premiums you have paid to each respectively. I know this as when l took over my parents finances they had about 27 direct debits and were paying twice for lots of insurance policies amongst other unnecessary things. It was a good few years ago but presume it's the same rule now and it was fairly easy to get the money back then choose which one to stick with.

@Mydogdoesntlikeyouin regards to the debt call them today and arrange a payment plan with them, even if it’s only a small amount a month. They’ll go through income and expenditure with you to see what you can reasonably afford. You’ll feel much better afterwards.
