I can’t wear this dress.. Can I?

Let me preface this by saying I’ve recently lost 4st and gone from a 30 to a 20/22 in clothes.

My daughter is getting married in May, 2nd time and I’m struggling to fine a dress that I’m happy in. Bearing in mind I’ll be seeing lots of people that haven’t seen me for a year so although the day is all about my DD, I am aware that I want to look as good as I can.

I’ve been shopping and tried lots of dresses on but 20/22 is still plus size and I’m a little limited with mobility issues. So….. Ive bought a dress, or 10 on Vinted to see what style I like myself in.

Ive found one that I’m comfortable and happy with, and my DH said it’s the one! Bless him every day I’m parading around in a different frock!

What I can’t get past though, it’s from SHEIN.

I can’t wear a second hand dress from SHEIN can I?

Lovely dress, colours are gorgeous. As you’re worried that another might be wearing the same thing, just take a eg. Navy scarf / wrap - then you can change your look if so!

Colours are absolutely gorgeous!

It's a lovely dress and as a fellow size 20 ish, I think it would look great!
I was going to suggest a Scarlett and Jo dress but that's just as nice 🙂

Our DD and the bridesmaids dresses were from Shein. Second wedding and she didn't want to spend a lot of money. They were beautiful and well made.
2 of the bridesmaids have worn the dresses again.

If you're happy, feel comfortable and confident then that's all that matters.
Well done on loosing the weight. Enjoy the day.

I'm not sure why, but you appear to be making a problem where there isn't one.

Just wear it or don't.

Exactly. Did you know it was from SHEIN and chat £3 when you chose it as a possibility to wear at your daughter’s wedding?

Yes I knew both those things when I bought it, however I didn’t know just how many were also for sale on Vinted, which makes me think there’s a chance, albeit small that someone else may have bought it.

If someone else at the wedding is wearing an identical dress, yay! You both have fabulous taste!
