A couple of the pics say "AI Rendered photo" when you hover over them, but most of them don't.

If it's real, my money is on it being owned by a footballer...

Check out this 7 bedroom detached house for sale on Rightmove

I actually showed this to my DH the other day as it's in my RM search radius. I hope it's AI otherwise it's a property crime!

Ncforthis2267 · 23/02/2026 09:49

What a hideous shithole. And why is there a dirt bike in the loft??

I wouldn't pay 500k for it let alone 5 mil!

CherryRipe1 · 23/02/2026 10:13

Horrible house, gives me the creeps, it's like a mausoleum.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 23/02/2026 10:23

How unspeakably horrible!

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 23/02/2026 10:30

The job lot of brightly coloured pouffes intrigued me, which room was one going to pop up in next and in which colour...

RaraRachael · 23/02/2026 10:36

Palatial - seriously?

It's like living in a grey nightmare.
Soulless and boring.

Additup · 23/02/2026 13:29

It's absolutely charmless.

I think one of the most awful things about it is the huge, tarmaced base it appears to be built on. Where are the plants/trees FFS.

Musicaltheatremum · 23/02/2026 13:38

It used to be "the" area to live when I was young and lived in Newcastle. My mum had a friend who moved there and her house was ok but she had a huge garden. I think some people sold off part of their gardens to developers.

BruceAndNosh · 23/02/2026 14:04

To paraphrase Dolly Parton "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap"

ChurchTower · 23/02/2026 14:31

In picture 2 there's a chaise longue one side of the room but when it's reflected in the mirror opposite it seems to have turned into a yellow Ferrari.

Lindy2 · 23/02/2026 14:41

I think someone interpreted adding some colour as go and buy a job lot of velvet footstools in as many bright colours as you can find and scatter them around the house.

I've never seen a property so lacking in homliness.

WallaceinAnderland · 23/02/2026 14:48

No floorplan.

Cheapskates.

MaidOfSteel · 23/02/2026 14:49

Truly awful. £5M to live in a Newcastle suburb?! I thought it was going to be down south somewhere, or up in Edinburgh! No, thank you. I’m sure some minted Premier League footballer will snap it up, though.

hairbearbunches · 23/02/2026 15:29

Eeh, fucken' hell (you have to say this in Cheryl Cole's voice), of course it's a Newcastle United player's house, the whole place is decked out in black and white 😂

StedSarandos · 23/02/2026 15:41

It looks like the worst house in Darras Hall if you go through right move, but the most expensive.

Hopefully someone will refurbish it so it looks modern and like an actual home.

tenrillingtonplace · 23/02/2026 16:28

All fur coat and no knickers as my granny used to say.

CatherineCawoodsbestie · 23/02/2026 16:30

if they are a footballer, they are not very committed - unlike this footballer……https://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/70758684/. 🙈😂😂

smallglassbottle · 23/02/2026 16:32

All these footballer types. They seem to be utterly lacking in any personality going by their houses. They're all identikit soulless grey marble hotel like places. God forbid they might have some colour somewhere or put a picture up.

CatherineCawoodsbestie · 23/02/2026 16:33

mind you - I saw my listing a few weeks ago. OPs listing almost makes this one look stylish! It just feels like the upper floors are for show and they live on the lower ground floor.

feellikeanalien · 23/02/2026 16:44

When we first moved to Northumberland and were driving from the airport I saw the signs for Darras Hall Estate and presumed it was a massive council estate.🤣

Saz12 · 23/02/2026 17:51

Picture 11... is that an understairs cupboard in the living room?

I mean, am all for storage, but in a house that size...?

madaboutpurple · 23/02/2026 19:26

I would want a swimming pool for that price.

onelumporthree · 23/02/2026 19:29

BruceAndNosh · 23/02/2026 03:56

The amount of tarmac outside could have filled all the potholes in my town!

I was wondering why they'd built it in the middle of a lorry park.

Chosemyownmarriedtobenamebutneverhadit · 23/02/2026 19:38

Grey and soul less. No sense of the characters of the people that live there.

On trend but I don't like this look at all.

Also why are there missing doors on the kitchen cabinets?!

Moen · 23/02/2026 19:43

It’s so cheap and tacky looking, who would pay £5 million for that?
