Cyclone is the best female gladiator, obviously. Just incredible.

I understand that the Romans sometimes used lions in their gladiatorial events.

I would like to see these introduced into the Saturday night programme. Assuming the programme is live, one could then have phone-in to release the lions when a game was becoming a bit tedious.

Gladiators is our guilty pleasure! My husband and I both loved it as kids in the 90s but he says, and I agree with him, that it is probably even better now, which is something of a surprise since we only started watching for nostalgia value and weren't expecting to enjoy it so much!
Legend is our favourite too, he does a great job as the comedy panto villain riling up the audience but he's actually good at his job too. That is more than can be said for Viper, who is obviously being set up to be the new Wolf, the Gladiator all the kids love to boo, but, unfortunately, he's just not very good, certainly not good enough to back up the attitude!
I think Hammer is good too. My husband also likes Steel, but mainly because he likes his walk-on music the best!
I like Sabre and Fury of the female Gladiators. One of the things we have noticed is that the female Gladiators are generally far more gracious and magnanimous in both defeat and victory than the men, they usually have something complimentary to say about the contestants and tend to engage in less grand-standing.
We are surprised that 'Powerball' was brought back as an event given how many injuries have been caused during it. We jokingly refer to it as 'Murderball' in our house and were just saying how shocked we were to see it return minutes before Diamond was injured.

Agree. He's neither quick-thinking enough nor panto-villain enough to be funny, so he always just sounded like he was being genuinely nasty. As a result, our household don't like him at all. He's come across much better this series as he's dialled it back.

I love Dynamite, she's just awesome! I cannot stand Sabres arm gesture at all, I find it really weird. Love her though.

My kids adore Viper, Legend, Diamond and Electro.

The Unleashed game terrifies me - can you imagine running not knowing which massive muscly gladiator is chasing you! I can always see the gladiator coming down the tunnel as they start the contender and it gives me the anxiety.

She's a champion power lifter. She's that size to reflect the amount of strength in her body, she's not tall so I think it looks a bit bigger than on the taller gladiators. I'm in awe of her muscles!

We call giant chicken legs as his calves are disproportionately small to the rest of him

Legend because although it's scripted as hell - it's funny in that undemanding Saturday night telly way.

Giant just because my kids rejoice in calling him a midget or shortie because DH is 2 inches taller than him.

Viper, who is a shoe-in for the old Wolf. Kids love him.

My daughter found a video of him recently, smiling. We think he's actually a lovely guy in private and has cats 😅

Oh it’s just too difficult to choose! I like Giant because he is just soooo big, but Nitro and Apollo are just mmmmmm🥰. I dont like Legend’s character but I guess he’s not really like that in real life. Then I like Fire and Fury - I just wish I was younger and could look like that. I think about this more than is necessary!!

we went to the live arena tour last year which was really good and recently met Steele at one of his Zactiv workshops. He was great with the kids; spoke a lot about positive mentality and self confidence and came across as a really lovely, happy nice guy.

What do people think about this statement from my DP when I asked him this very question..

DS used to like Viper until the “panda murdering incident” which really freaked him out.

Thanks guys! Especially the beard comment😂. Seriously, it’s a shitty thing to say🤢. Since, DP has looked in to the female gladiators and is a big fan of Athena.

Can’t wait for tonight. Love Sabre, she’s my age and makes me feel think strength, fun and sexiness can happen in mid 30’s. Going to lift and see how much my DP likes me once I can bench press him.
