Cyclone is the best female gladiator, obviously. Just incredible.

As Hammer. He was lovely, and a decent sewer.

He was a contestant as Hammer but I think they called him by his real name.

It was the Christmas celeb special.

Yeah, I do think Apollo just looks like an overgrown toddler.

I find the sex disparity between the male and female contenders vs the gladiators fascinating. Often with the female contenders, all they'd need is some hair extensions and a fancy costume and they'd look like one of the smaller gladiators, but the male gladiators are like a different species.

I've just excitedly shouted to DH that Hammer was on Sewing Bee... he's currently looking for it to watch later 😆

Always Legend. I’ve watched him on his fitness/DIY stuff for a long time before Gladiators and always liked him.

Cyclone for the women, I also like Athena and don't think they use her enough

For the men I like giant, legend and nitro, but I think phantom has to be my favourite 😍

Hammer has to be one of my least favourites, he looks the part but absolutely no charisma. Bit like Barney

I find Hammer a bit ridiculous (sorry Hammer!). I think it's because he's obviously supposed to be a bulky, rugged, hairy, Thor type, and it just doesn't fit with the shiny lycra and the slick and sculpted look. He should be a bit more rough and ready but even with the long hair and beard he still somehow looks a bit too neat and tidy. I laugh every time he comes out (again, sorry Hammer!).

Diamond is my favourite, she's awesome.

They're all pretty awesome apart from viper.

Athena looks almost overweight rather than fit though? Is it just me who sees that? (I'm overweight myself and completely unfit).

@GoodVibesHere Her background is as a power lifter and I think her physique reflects that.

I love Phantom, Legend and Fury.
Gladiators is fab, love a bit of theatrical fitness on the telly!

I like Legend too. In fact, I like all of them. They seem like a nice bunch of people, and they're all so attractive too! Handsome men, and gorgeous women!

Controversial maybe but I don’t think many of them are facially great looking. They are there because of the muscles/physique

are all totally gorgeous looking.
I also think Athena, Sabre, Cyclone and Diamond are very intimidating to the female contestants as they are so very muscular. But then, someone called Athena overweight! They are all beautiful, incredible and inspirational, and very silly at the same time, in my opinion. I agree that some of the men are actually comedy big though, like Giant, Bionic and Legend.

Hammer has started doing a Hammer Time dance but someone really needs to teach him how to do a proper Hammer Time dance as he just kind of bobs up and down a bit.

Also, every time he comes on I'm annoyed that he's called Hammer. They clearly wanted to call him Thor but I'm assuming copyright issues. So they called him Hammer???

That was exactly what we thought, and that they should have had the balls to go full camp parody and call him Ümläut.

And yes, he does need to learn to dance if he's going to do Hammer Time.
