Have you ever had the passionate

ARunByFruiting · 18/02/2026 20:06

... getting in the door, kissing and throwing yourselves up against walls as clothes fly off towards a moment of passion or is that only what happens in the movies? 😆

Lighthearted obviously but I do wonder if this happens in real life, especially on dating first "intimate" encounters or is more the reality of awkwardly undressing and being embarrassed at everything possible 🤔 😅

Oh yes…but he wasn’t a good boyfriend!

BauhausOfEliott · 19/02/2026 08:28

Definitely, yes! 😍

Gnomer · 19/02/2026 08:42

No, not my thing really. I've had sex in lots of unusual places but tbh I would just rather be warm in a cosy bed with good lighting than half naked on the stairs up against a wall.

SettingSunStillness · 19/02/2026 09:15

Yes. With my now dh. And with an ex.
Still remember it now. Uni house so brave to leave clothes up the stairs. We got away with it though!!

Bbq1 · 19/02/2026 13:23

Yes with dh.

Nope never. I can't imagine having no self consciousness at all. I also cannot imagine swiping a desk with one hand and allowing everything fall to the floor like they do on TV.

Haha, I don't think the desk-swiping thing is a common occurrence in reality.

I can't imagine having no self consciousness at all.

This is interesting to me. I'm certainly not suggesting there's anything wrong/odd about the situations in which people feel self conscious - we just feel what we feel - but I'd really like to understand why having sex against the wall in your hallway is any different from having sex in a bedroom, in terms of how self-conscious you'd feel. Because it's the same partner and the same act, just in a different room. Obviously you don't have to answer the question, which I'm aware is a really nosy one, but I'm just interested really.

ZenZazie · 19/02/2026 16:14

Yes, quite a few times

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 19/02/2026 16:16

Oh yes. It was decades ago but I still think about him.

Mysticguru · 19/02/2026 16:17

Yes a number of times. One even started in the lift on the way to the room. We met in the bar at a conference.
Love those moments!. Everyone should experience sexual passion and chemistry

HeadyLamarr · 19/02/2026 16:18

Age 22, had been apart from (now)DH for 6 weeks and we could barely get undressed fast enough. In the hall, the living room, pretty much anywhere for three days.

badgersbadgerseverywhere · 18/02/2026 23:10

I’ve never had that, and I’ve always thought it looks improbable, performative and uncomfortable on screen. I’m surprised so many of you enjoy it!

I have really enjoyable sex btw but have always preferred a slow build up.

I mean, it would certainly be performative if it was happening on screen.

I don't think it can really be 'performative' if it's happening only for the benefit of the two people who are having sex in private, though. In a way I think it's the opposite of performative, as it's not something that's typically planned. it happens (or certainly has in my case) when you get spontaneously carried away.

The first time it happened to me I was about 19 or 20 and I'd been out to a gig with some friends and my boyfriend at the time, who was a bit older than me and had his own place, had kindly driven into central London to pick me up as it was too late for the train/Tube. I looked a complete state - smudged eyeliner, completely drenched in sweat. Turned out he was very very into that and basically pounced on me literally the moment we set foot in his flat, having been lusting over me for the entire drive home.

The second time was in fact the night I got together with my current DP, 23 years ago 😁We did manage to make it upstairs but we were both mostly undressed by then and all the, er, preamble happened in the hallway.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 19/02/2026 16:20

With one man.
There have been many other men and women but only one with lust like that.

I've done the desk swiping thing. In the office when everyone had gone home with the cleaner. It happens :)

HelloVeritas · 19/02/2026 16:47

Everyone had gone home with the cleaner?

or

Everyone had gone home, with the cleaner? 😃

SuperGinger · 19/02/2026 17:36

Quite a few times, also had the cannot restrain yourself unashamed snogging in the street which tends to lead to the get inside rip your clothes off sex.

ARunByFruiting · 19/02/2026 19:12

TittyGajillions · 19/02/2026 05:41

Yes, lots of times with the husband and before him with ons and casual partners.
Have you never had that OP?

I'd like to say I've had my fair share of great times 😉 but sadly not the pulling clothes off up the stairs/kissing passionately against every wall 😁 I feel I've missed ou now 😆

Laiste · 19/02/2026 19:55

Yes.
With DH the first time we were alone in a bedroom together (hotel).

It was the 2nd time we'd had sex (first was in a car 2 days earlier 😳) and we walked into the room, flicked the big light on, glanced around the room for about 3 seconds ... then he looked at me and that was that. I was backed up against the wardrobe and we went at it like animals. For ages. Light still on i had no awareness of anything in the world except him and his body and what he was doing to mine.

We left that room the next morning in tatters ! We'd been at it all night. Our lips were puffed up from hours of snogging i had bruised inner thighs and he was limping from overused groin pains 🤣 It was bloody amazing 😍

Moen · 19/02/2026 20:00

Yes, with two of my ex’s.

rightoguvnor · 19/02/2026 21:40

Yes, quite a few times with DH, we were rather ‘racy’ as was the terminology at the time. I think the last time was probably when our youngest was about 2, things had been tough and we’d both been questioning our marriage. That night quickly sorted that.
Now things are rather gentler on account of his sciatica and my hip. But that’s what 42 years at it does….

Body confidence probably, I prefer darkness and low lights. I'm also not very agile so would be awkward and uncomfortable. Truthfully I've never done is standing up!

Swissmeringue · 20/02/2026 00:23

Yes, a couple of times. Both with guys I actually couldn't stand generally but had great chemistry with. I always found the douchebags were best in bed unfortunately.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 20/02/2026 00:25

Three times in my life. It makes me smile to think back to the passion I had.

I do miss those days.

Oh, I see - makes sense if you’re someone who prefers low light.

I would definitely say that sex standing up doesn’t always quite work, especially if there’s a big height difference 🤣

EconomyClassRockstar · 20/02/2026 01:14

Yes. Many times with my now husband. 30 years later? Not so much..and that's ok!

TheWibble · 20/02/2026 01:26

Yes. With three different men, all in my much younger days. I think my passion has dwindled with age!
