Valentines thread to ponder on seemingly everyday things that are really attractive. My contribution: A friend's DH that spontaneously made us some scones and made cream teas. (I've thought about that a lot).

Yesterday my husband took apart our old bed to be collected and dumped, ripped up our old carpet, laid a new one and put together our new bed and a massive shoe rack - watching him do all this plus shifting the bedroom furniture around - his strength and hard work - those muscles …. Very very attractive, and there’s something about watching a man lay a carpet …… well it did it for me! My hunky husband 🥰

When I hear my DH on work calls and he’s decisive and confident and just good at what he does. I usually only see the goofy, sweet side of him (who I love obviously) but the contrast is quite attractive!

I work with an outrageously high number of hotties, but I am much older than all of them, so my leering kindly attention passes them by. Honest to god there are a few I just want to gaze at for the entirety of any call we have, like Snow White with birds tweeting round my head.

One of them visited my office recently and it was glorious chatting with him in person again. He is also an absolute darling as well, he's got the whole lot.

What is it about this? It makes my redacted heart clench instantly which makes me feel it must be a primal response, but men weren't skillfully driving backwards in cavepeople times?

Competency is a big one for me. My ex easily fixed my laptop, while explaining to me in an easy to understand way what he was doing. Made me want to absolutely ravage him.

It doesn’t have to be manual labour, any sort of ability and work ethic will do. A gentleman friend of mine came and sorted out WiFi boosters for my security cameras, he just arrived with what I needed and set them up with no fuss or fanfare and I was swooning.

my DW is very organised and keeps various spreadsheets on an app on her phone - i love seeing her serious look of concentration as she edits them and find her so beautiful. i also love how gentle and loving she is with our pets and often hear her chatting nonsense to them from the next room which always makes me smile :)

Men with tool belts, repairing things to a competent standard. The man doesn't have to be gorgeous and the task doesn't have to be challenging, but if he does it quietly and without making a giant mess, it totally does it for me 😁

There was a poster that called in on a guy she was seeing and he was wearing this big jumper and said 'come in I've just made a shepherd's pie' - She got the ick, but if that was me, the jumper would have been ripped off before the door closed. 😂

What would have happened to the shepherd's pie though? I'd definitely eat that before anything else

I’m the opposite. It definitely discourages me if I spot a guitar in the corner of their room.
