Valentines thread to ponder on seemingly everyday things that are really attractive. My contribution:

A friend's DH that spontaneously made us some scones and made cream teas. (I've thought about that a lot).

Another male friend plans and books trips out for us and our DC and it always involves somewhere that has a good lunch option. 😅

Being abroad, not on a tourist trail, and a friend finding a car park/bus station/taxi hang out and just casually negotiating a deal to get us a driver for the next 100 miles. Not an official taxi or transport hub, he just went for it and made it work.

DH taking charge in a quiet but assertive way. We were visiting a friend in hospital who hadn’t received his meds ages after he should have done. His wife had asked several times and been told ‘in a minute’ but no action. DH took himself off to the nurses station and politely asked and was told the same, then said ‘well I’m just going to wait here until it’s done.’ He stood there with an expectant look on his face and soon enough they started scurrying around and got it sorted. He thanked them, returned to our friend and gave me a wink. Mmmm

Onions in a cheese and onion toastie. Always mouth scorching.

Not unexpected and, I would argue, no hotter than the cheese.

Someone unexpectedly making or ordering you a cheese and onion toastie, I can get on board with.

Mine are nearly all food related 😅.

Do you remember the thread about 'What gave you the ick?' There was a poster that called in on a guy she was seeing and he was wearing this big jumper and said 'come in I've just made a shepherd's pie' - She got the ick, but if that was me, the jumper would have been ripped off before the door closed. 😂

I misread that and thought he was wearing a jumper with the slogan “come in, I’ve just made a shepherds pie”

Which, to be honest, I wouldn’t hate.

Turned up/rolled up shirt sleeves but short sleeved shirts not so much.

My new boss hasn't adjusted the settings on his webcam, so on Zoom calls he appears to be life sized and right in front of my face. He is way hotter than he ought to be even in HD, and is very smart and self-assured. <fans self>

I’ve seen it mentioned on here before, but I really like it when DP is reversing the car and he swings his left arm over the passenger chair and looks out of the rear window while his other hand is expertly steering the wheel.

Not unexpected but when DH is proactive in sorting something out - the dishwasher, some DIY, tidying a room.

Back when DH and I were first dating, he had a specific jumper that I always thought he looked hot in. Nothing special about this jumper other than it showed off his broad shoulders.

Me too - was about to google the jumper and get one for myself 🤦‍♀️

I've never met a woman who doesn't find this extremely hot, and it baffles me that men haven't cottoned on to it more.

My partner will always protect me & those he loves.
He's absolutely huge, which is often a deterrent but he will have no issue knocking someone out who deserves it. He's got very strong morals & it'll always be a last resort, but knowing he can protect us is very sexy.

Sounds like you just have the hots for some men and are attributing it to them 'doing stuff' and not them :)

When my DH used to smoke… the way he smoked a cigarette was very sexy and Ive never smoked either!

if dh made a shepherd’s pie today he would definitely get a huge elevation in my opinion, (he’s pretty high to start with but can’t cook, he’s suggested meals today all involve restaurants, pubs or takeaways)

Seeing my friend who is a doctor actually doctoring. I just see the geeky quirky side but we were on a flight when someone took ill and he took charge. Suddenly saw him in a different light.

My husband is 6ft and naturally ‘well built’. Not in a traditional gym guy kind of way but just a big guy. I’m 4ft 11. We were at a gig in the early days and a fight broke out. I was oblivious as it moved towards us. He effortlessly lifted me out the way with one arm and placed me down somewhere else before I even knew what was happening. Didn’t spill a drop of his pint in the other hand.
I DETEST being picked up but this got me……I was putty 😂

I work with an outrageously high number of hotties, but I am much older than all of them, so my leering kindly attention passes them by. Honest to god there are a few I just want to gaze at for the entirety of any call we have, like Snow White with birds tweeting round my head.

One of them visited my office recently and it was glorious chatting with him in person again. He is also an absolute darling as well, he's got the whole lot.
