As predicted in ap news report - it's a basically now a done deal. Another reason not to go to Florida.

Florida’s Palm Beach Airport will be renamed President Donald J Trump International Airport after the Florida legislature passed a bill approving the renaming. Gov Ron DeSantis is expected to sign it into law.

I've always felt uneasy about naming anything after (for) a living person. Even the RMS David Attenborough.

Supposing Donald Trump turns out to be a bad'un in the future ?

Well, in that unlikely event, anything with his name on can go the same way as Colston's statue.

How will this tariff repeal even work? Surely they're going to have to refund a lot of money?

Whilst I am not a massive fan of criminal damage, the Colston moment made me so proud to be British.

There was a fucktonne of story behind the incident. However I said at the time that assuming the perpetrators demonstrated that they were not reckless (which actually would have then supported the accusation of premeditation) then I'd acquit them were I on a jury.

I think you've got a good point. Most of the people chosen by Scrotus to be in positions of power are very wealthy and/or are Scrotus wannabes arselickers. They've lived their lives and made their bucks through lies, bribes, intimidation, threats, and simply riding roughshod over 'lesser beings'. Of course they'd assume they could 'govern' in the same way. After all, look at their 'role model', Scrotus himself.

They keep getting away with it because they always seem to be 2 steps ahead of the law or have their own interpretation of the law. Those who are trying to stop them keep having to play 'catch up'. And legislative and legal catch ups take time.

Hah. I think Kavanaugh also made that argument in dissent.

I must say that I got a good chuckle when I heard the tariff ruling. News reporter just said "No response from POTUS as he is currently attending an event". I can't wait to hear what he has to say and read what he 'truths' on this. He's asserted that he MUST have tariff power to control those obstreperous countries that won't go along with him the program.

For background context, I think Stalingrad is sensitive because of Krushhev's secret speech in 1956, where he denounced the cult of personality that Stalin created. Mao took great offence at that. And it appears The Party still do. Well actually, I know they still do. The best friends stuff they do at the moment is all fake.

So when Trump is gone, and stuff goes back to original names, I wonder who will be protesting to keep the Trump name? Maybe the dictatorships he helps in the creation of ?

I'm saying he will threaten SCOTUS. Maybe he will use executive power to abolish them. We know congress won't stop him.

He can apply to build a sea wall to protect it I suppose, Same as he done with his Irish golf course back in 2015 or so.

How will he get the sea to pay for it though ?
