When did your period come back after giving birth? Especially if you breastfed?

Baby is almost 1 and mine hasn't returned! I'm not complaining, obv one less thing to juggle but I'm curious, want to make sure I'm physically fine (will mention at an upcoming GP appointment) and we would like to start TTC baby no.2 later this year.

I have been getting some cramping lately and went back to work part time a couple of weeks ago so going for hours without feeding or pumping while I'm at work. Baby still feeds fairly frequently otherwise.

13 months after. I breastfed for 12 months.

Mine didn't come back until I stopped breastfeeding.

About a year. Was great!

Four months for me and I bf for 12 months. Was very pissed off!

4/6 weeks pp, baby 18 months ebf

I feel robbed!

The first month I went back to work both times, 6 months and 9 months after birth.

Both times I pumped several times a day at work and continued to breastfeed the rest of the time.

I know a few friends who conceived on what must as been their first cycle so never had a period in between.

With my EBF one, at 3 months, every 28 days like clockwork. He was breastfed regularly every few hours til 16 months. 🤷🏻‍♀️

With my formula fed one, didn’t get a natural period before I went on birth control again at 5 months. So who knows. 😂

15 months after I'd given birth with both babies.

When I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months.

I exclusively breastfed three DC and my period came back 4 weeks after birth and hit a 28 day cycle throughout. I was most put out.

Not until I stopped breastfeeding completely. 20 months post partum the first time, 22 months the second.

8 months pp which I assumed was because of starting some solids at 6 months meaning a bit less breast milk

24 months DC1 26 months DC2. Still breastfeeding when they returned, but only 3-4 times a day and not at night

Breastfed to 18 months came back at 12

breastfed to 12 months, got pregnant before period came back

14 months with the first, 7 months with second. Both times I breastfed well beyond this point

13 months (BF to 18 months)

8 months, which really surprised me as I was still feeding loads including every 2hrs through the night.

After 8 months and breastfed until 10 months

I think the longest was about 18 months. I miss that!

I was still breastfeeding when it came back.

For all three of mine it came back when I dropped to 2 breastfeeds a day or less.

15 months, which made sense as I had gone back to work 3 days per week and so was breastfeeding a bit less.

Same here.

I think it was about 16 months with my first and 21 months with my second.

Breastfed first to 20 months and second still feeding now at 3 and a bit.
