Just seen this on the news. Surely they'll have to remove his peerage. Also another woman who says she was abused by Andrew has come forward. it just gets worse. This has blown into a much much bigger scandal with money from Epstein. It's total corruption.

Mandelson is an odious man and always has been.
He's always been attracted to the money and the high life and to people who are rich and powerful.

He does not possess a moral compass and that's been evident throughout much of his career.

I should imagine that actually he will be gutted that the end has come as it has - albeit that surely he was only waiting for the final curtain to fall. Power, notoriety and prestige are important to him and now that his reputation is in the gutter that will actually hurt and so it should.

Presumably there's far more to come out as well so it's only going to get worse.

And since he's now going to be investigated for criminal activity it's just got a whole load worse for him and rightly so.

The pertinent question is who was Epstein working for and what secrets did Mandelson spill to try and save his own neck. Why was this able to happen when he was ostensibly vetted by MI5? What did Starmer know and when, and most important, who is actually running this country?

His belittling of the idea that he would have been influenced by Epstein handing his much younger boyfriend £10 000 is quite odious; as if that's too trifling an amount of money to have an effect on him. He's a prime example of the Westminster class having no idea how badly they come across.

Great one! He is keeping his title. (the lord one) For the time being anyway. New legislation is needed apparently for either him to give it up or it to be removed. Madness

I wonder why his friends in so called high places are being so quiet, or are they desperately scrabbling to bury their bodies before the next tranche of revelations!

Mandelson has always, always been dodgy. I remember talking to a colleague who was a senior local politician (and a man of immense probity) and fulminating about the PM mortgage scandal, it would have been late 90s.

He said "Poor Peter, noone understands him" at which I fulminated more until I realised my colleague was grinning. He was someone with very high reaching contacts in the Labour party and had no time for PM.

The thing I find most astounding about this is that it's only a couple of weeks since the interview with Laura Kuenssberg where he told her that he didn't have anything to apologise for and said "I’m not going to disappear and hide – that’s not me.”

He MUST have known there was more to come, and it's inexplicable that he thought he could get away with it. Absolute madness.

I think people will start to play those interviews alongside one another and go WOW!!!!

In a past last I trained people to do media interviews - new politicians - not to be a lying pig - but to deal with the twisted questions they can be asked. This is all on these absolute reprobates. Awful people who thought that entitlement was a cloak. I could not be more disgusted. I live in Wales, I vote PC, and sent a query into their head office to ask what would happen if this was a PC issue and they said: Immediate expulsion and you can keep this email as proof!
