Just seen this on the news. Surely they'll have to remove his peerage. Also another woman who says she was abused by Andrew has come forward. it just gets worse. This has blown into a much much bigger scandal with money from Epstein. It's total corruption.

Not a moment too soon. Shame that Starmmer had not had the guts to expel him.

Arlanymor · 01/02/2026 22:51

He just keeps resigning and resigning. 1998 over a secret loan (hmm funny how he never remembers money going in/out of his bank account) and again in 2001 over the passport scandal. And then sacked by KS in September. I mean talk about hubris. There have been calls to strip him of his peerage previously and to be fair the SNP were on the war path about it last month.

plentyofsunshine · 01/02/2026 22:53

oooh it's all gonna come out now isn't it.

What a fucking weird photo that was of PM in his pants. And the woman holding what looks like a menu, a sex menu. That photo was taken wiithout PM knowledge but Epstein, it turns out, was secretly filming all of them. Presumably for blackmail.

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 01/02/2026 23:16

I think there will still be worse to come. Everyone involved is disgusting.

ShakyBake · 02/02/2026 03:17

Always trust your gut, so many of these high profile figures I remember giving me a feeling of slime, corruption and a feeling of something not right years ago.

I always remember Andrew was on one of those Airport type shows ages ago and when asked where he was going it was for something ridiculous like an evening meal, they even rolled out the red carpet. Its always surprised me why this clip has not resurfaced. Horrible man

Paramaribo2025 · 02/02/2026 03:45

He seems to be teflon coated. No doubt he'll ressurect himself like Lazarus and be ensconced in another cushy number, before dark. The general public and successive govts seem to have short memories which can only be of benefit to him.

MrMischief · 02/02/2026 03:49

There needs to be much more accountability in public office. Shame isn’t enough for these creepy oafs. Can’t remember someone putting thousands into his account? Off with his head, onto a spike outside parliament.

Meadowfinch · 02/02/2026 03:54

Again !!

The man's a disgrace. Does the Labour Party really need someone who's so rotten he reeks. What was Keir Starmer thinking?

Mandelson is unfit for public office and always has been.

RedTagAlan · 02/02/2026 04:10

A word I don't think I have used about someone in current affairs is " treason".

But if true about him saying what J P Morgan should say to change UK government policy, while he was a minister, then it's a word that fits.

WaryCrow · 02/02/2026 09:01

It’s the high life isn’t it. They really don’t live in the same planet as people who work for a living. It’s beyond disgusting.

Nourishinghandcream · 02/02/2026 09:31

I remember at the time the questions about Blair's judgment regarding PM and the assumption was that he "knew where the bodies were buried" and was therefore untouchable.

JamesClyman · 02/02/2026 12:33

Like it matters. The damage has been done.

Reggiebo · 02/02/2026 12:35

I can't unsee the photo.

EasternStandard · 02/02/2026 12:59

Terrible judgement to bring him back anyway.

Sidebeforeself · 02/02/2026 13:02

Grubby little man. But it’s no good Starmer acting all shocked and disgusted now. He might not have known all the details, but he knew he was a wrong un before he appointed him as Ambassador to the US.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 02/02/2026 13:03

Good riddance. Hopefully he’ll leave the Lords too!

We all did, everyone who remembers New Labour. I don’t get it. Except that that class is so unbelievably arrogant now and so corrupt that they think it just doesn’t matter. 😢

HelpMeGetThrough · 02/02/2026 16:36

He’ll be sat at home not giving a toss, his kind never do. He’s going to face no repercussions for any of it.

He’s caked up, so doesn’t have to worry about never being able to work again. He got 8 million from selling his stake in the advisory firm he started, lives in an 8 million quid house and has property investments. Bang on top of that his payoffs and lifetime EU pension.

He’ll be there quaffing his Chablis laughing at us plebs.

EsmaCannonball · 02/02/2026 16:52

The majority of the political commentariat were crediting Starmer with some kind of genius move in making Mandelson US ambassador, whereas anyone with half a brain and the vaguest memory of the nineties knew some kind of major scandal would be incoming in less than six months.

I'm also sick of hearing about what a brilliant and talented political operative Mandelson is. It's not hard to become influential when you're prepared to be an utterly amoral, sleazy, self-serving grifter who has no problem with either paedophiles or billionaire tax-dodgers. We could all make more friends if we were that unchoosy.

MidWayThruJanuary · 02/02/2026 17:05

Epstein suggested in an email that Mandelson should marry Beatrice - ‘then the queen would have a queen as a grandson’.
The Yorks must be wondering what other horrors are in store..

Ikr why Starmer thought it a good idea god knows. Also agree with @EsmaCannonball

100% this.

It’s like Johnson Cummings when Cameron knew he was a liability.

Mandy’s been known as The Prince of Darkness since the 90s. Previous resignations showed he was dodgy AF and on the make. But gets put in the Lords by Brown, then McSweeney and Starmer push him through as US Ambassador, when it was no secret he’d been close to Epstein.

The government info he shared is appalling. Shocking levels of corruption.

AgentPidge · 02/02/2026 20:39

Totally amoral sleazeball. How dare he share govt info he was privy to? So that Epstein would repay the favour sometime, presumably. Horrible man.
