A pro Trump thread to balance the 154 anti Trump threads!

Thought I’d be brave and start a pro-Trump thread for a change, after all, there are so many anti-Trump ones , we need some balance!
I even tried commenting on an anti-Trump thread today… and wow, just kept being told to go away, my comments were not well received. Honestly, I feel honoured to feel as if I have been officially deported, what an achievement!😂

No. His parents came through on the CBP app (as I understand it). They can drop their asylum claim and apply for 2,400 dollars per applicant to self deport. Why didn’t they do that?

More to the point, who told them they had any basis for asylum? Ecuador is actually
one of the safer, more functional countries in South America, so much so that they’ve reportedly got 500,000 Venezuelan refugees.

You are using an emotional appeal that will solve nothing and actually make the problem worse. But I don’t expect you to understand second-order consequences.

There's not much I expect from you either. Predictable response.

How do you square it with yourself that there’s a five year old in a US detention centre, rapidly declining in health and they’re doing sod all about it? A five year old. Practically a baby. Let that sink in.

If you think that’s excusable you’re exactly the type who’d have been cool living next to Auchwitz in the thirties and forties. You don’t have a heart.

This 💯

It seems the family of Liam Ramos have an 'active asylum case'.

An attorney representing the family has also challenged the DHS’s claims, and said the father and son had an active asylum case. The attorney shared paperwork showing that they entered the US at a port of entry, meaning an official crossing point.

“They did not come here illegally. They are not criminals,” the attorney said last week, adding that there was no order of deportation against them.

Cartel violence is not a basis for asylum claims. Otherwise pretty much all of Central and parts of South America could empty into America.

You’d have to be, for example, some journalist reporting on cartel violence or a politician being targeted by them.

I talk about it this way, because if you allow people with no basis for asylum to stay because you feel bad for them, you’ll only encourage more to try. And the problem will never be solved.

Dragging children across borders to bolster asylum claims really did happen under Biden (honestly started under Obama, remember the unaccompanied children fiasco he had to deal with?)—and in the long run, this is why you have to reject those claims.

Here is one for you re Ecuador. Last year they cancelled a visa waiver scheme with China because half the "tourists" went missing. And the number of missing pretty much matched the number of Chinese nationals presenting at the US/Mexico border.

There is a bit more than in the link, because China said " we want them back".

More to it all than having gangs of thugs on US streets.

You can have asylum cases heard at government detention centers. This was the practice under the Obama administration. It worked fine.

Equador has in fact had a sharp rise in cartel based violence. Honestly though - it’s hard to stomach any human that talks about a child in the clinically dispassionate tone that you do.

I wonder whether it’s evident to those that know you in real life.

Yes…can someone remind me what fuels the cartel violence? I do believe it’s a habit of Donnie Junior. It’s people like him, whose “fun” fuels the misery in Equador, which forces families to flee. It’s one big psychopathic circle.

Well said. Whatever the circumstances of this little boy, show some compassion Ringo, FFS.

Unfortunately, she loves it. You’re wasting your breath.

It’s a headache for Ecuador too, they don’t want a bunch of Chinese ‘tourists’ leave the country and head for the US border.

After all, it should have been popular for Chinese due to travel to the Galápagos Islands, but like many nice things, totally abused by idiots.

She probably also thinks it's absolutely fiiiine that so many Native Americans are being picked up by ICE for looking a bit brown...

No, I’m using a factual response. They are in the US legally following the appropriate process whether you like it or not.

You’re the one bringing emotion into it because you’re coming up with all of the different reasons why you personally don’t like it. You think they should have taken money, you don’t believe Equador is dangerous enough, you’re making assumptions about this family’s personal circumstances, why Biden is at fault blah blah blah.

But yet, they did follow the rules. Even if that doesn’t suit your agenda.

As said before to you, Obama didn't send armed masked goons to abduct people with legal claims from schools, hospitals, homes, interviews to forcibly take them to detention camps.

ICE used to be unmasked and clearly wearing ID

CowTown · 31/01/2026 10:19

Maybe one day Ringo will get her dream of the US turning into Gilead, at which point she won’t have to worry about people wanting to enter. And she can apply to be an Aunt…I think she’d be a perfect fit. Praise be.

But wait…she won’t be forced to live in the chaos, because she lives in the UK. Shame she’ll have to enjoy the misery from a distance, rather than be forced to live in it.

His health plan is out. Or at least his outline of a concept of a plan is out. But the MAGA reps don't like it apparently.

There you go again though. They were following the legal process. They had a legal asylum claim. They had not been detained. Not until Trump’s violent goons came and used a five-year-old boy as a pawn and for theater. And now he’s in a detention center with declining health.

If the immigration services had genuinely wanted to retract this family’s permission to live in the community, then they should have sent the appropriate paperwork notifying them. Not dragged them, in fact, just half of them, off the street. You know this. You don’t like it, but you know it.

I’m not sure that’s what they want, if it becomes a dictatorship, then that’s no fun anymore. When there’s no more brown people or white liberals to rip off the streets, what will they do for entertainment?

Well they can wait for their hearing at that facility, where they will be turned down as they almost certainly have no basis for asylum

Mjjj · 31/01/2026 10:46

I do like the fact that ICE is removing illegal immigration.

I don't like the extreme violence they use and the fact that legal US residents and US citizens get mixed up.
