They’ve ruined the Lottery app

Has anyone tried the new app out? My god it’s horrifically bad. It’s like they saw how easy and straightforward the old version was and thought let’s do the complete opposite and make everything vague and confusing.

Someone has been paid to design, test and then decide it was suitable to go live. Clearly someone from Gamble Aware has infiltrated the board.

I need my gambling fix to be efficient and swift, please don’t make me linger on the app too long otherwise I’ll start questioning my life choices even more.

I did receive a reply to my complaint and it was very generic! You’ll get used to it basically.
At least they replied

Popping back again to say 1) glad it’s not me. 2) I still hate it but evidently not enough to quit my mild gambling habit 😅 and 3) I will pm everyone on this thread to send you some money when I win the jackpot tomorrow 🤞🏼😘

They also send you a "you won a prize" email if you win on an instant win game.

I logged in this morning excited after an email and then confused when I remembered it was Thursday, not Wednesday so I hadn't hit the jackpot on Tuesday.

Funnily enough I knew I'd won the instant win game as I was right there playing it!

Stupid change.

I wrote to complain (my post upthread contained the email address for the complaints department so was probably hidden for that reason).

I received some reply that they listen to customer feedback etc, so if enough of us complain, they may get the message.

WTF??! Just tried to log in. Now asks for a fingerprint. Even my mobile banking doesn't ask for that. All for placing a few quid whenever I see it advertised every now and then there are ten guaranteed UK millionaires. Jeez.

Yeah my account now wants me to set up biometrics. Will get around to doing one day, probably next time I hear the ten guaranteed UK millionaires advert on the radio, crossing my fingerprints I'll eventually get lucky one day.

I tried to play a cheap instant win game 4 times. It kept telling me it was loading, never loaded and then I was automatically signed out. I've complained because it's really dreadful.

To update my card - which expired at the end of Jan I've had to withdraw the £0.05 from my account.
Then once that's done I can add a new card and add money.

I can't even just update the end date and security number like every other site. Have to add it as a totally new card even though the number is the same

DH had the same problem, not tech savvy, but didn't know there had been an "upgrade" so just thought it was his fault. What is it with these people? It must go through testing in house and then with a sample of the public surely? Also little thought is given to those who have no knowledge of tech and have just come to terms with a system for it to change. Noticed HSBC have changed log in to make it easieR so well done them. It really pisses me off; they all want our custom but make it so difficult to access your own info. and often are protecting stuff that does not need to be so secure.

I do the lottery on line and buy tickets several weeks in advance, you now can’t see what draw each ticket is in, you can’t filter the ticket for the latest draw, it’s rubbish, they’ve sold the changes to make it easier for people who have physical tickets and completely screwed up those who do it on line 🤬🤬🤬

I’ve had an email to say I won something but now can’t login! It keeps saying “something went wrong” but it worked last night. Now I may never know how many millions I’ve won 😂😣

Why have they had to change the lottery app!
They have totally ruined it for me..
I would always buy my tickets monthly on the app, but now I will have to buy a paper ticket, because they have ruined the app!!!

Hate the new App so confused with it, I used to scan the syndicate ticket then take a photo to share with members on ‘what app’ now I have to explain every line entry. Might have to cancel the syndicate finding it too stressful now.

It's not just the App, but their website too! It's AWFUL. I have to buy my Dad's lottery tickets for him. He's done the same numbers since it started but when i clicked to replay last numbers, it seems his last ticket was a free lucky dip so it chose those numbers instead! I had to wrack my brains to remember his regular numbers for him.

Oh - and when i go to look at previous played games, you hardly get many per page and they aren't in proper order?! It's madness. I used to be able to see a nice list of all the games he's bought, either saying 'in the draw' or 'played', and whether it was a win or loss, all in date order. Now it's a complete mess and totally confusing.

It is terrible. I did a few 25p scratch cards with a couple of quid I had left in the account and it kept glitching and not loading.
It looks terrible and is not intuitive.
Terrible terrible update.

Have just tried to play an instant game, again. Didn't load and after waiting ages got signed out automatically. It's absolute rubbish. I've emailed another complaint.
