They’ve ruined the Lottery app

Has anyone tried the new app out? My god it’s horrifically bad. It’s like they saw how easy and straightforward the old version was and thought let’s do the complete opposite and make everything vague and confusing.

Someone has been paid to design, test and then decide it was suitable to go live. Clearly someone from Gamble Aware has infiltrated the board.

I need my gambling fix to be efficient and swift, please don’t make me linger on the app too long otherwise I’ll start questioning my life choices even more.

Why do they have to fix something that works fine?

I didn’t like the last lot of changes so heaven knows what I’ll think of this later on when I go on to get my tickets.
I don’t see them as flag-flyers for responsible gambling when they changed the default purchase to include all draws of a particular game rather than one particular draw.

That made my head hurt. It’s just like the new iPhone upgrade. What it does do is let you see your lucky dip numbers before you buy them though. Quite useful even if the interface will take some getting used to.

I can’t even log in to the lottery app at the moment, I have been getting an error message some all the upgrades were done at the weekend ☹️

I agree completely. Why do they have to change everything? Oh, this works really well. Let's see if we can completely fuck it up 🤦‍♂️

Agree. I used to think the old app was just about perfect for its simple design and use. Now cluttered and unfriendly. 🙄

That's now gone. It's really simple.

I couldn't find my saved numbers. Just a "play your last numbers option".

I’ve found them now. Don't know where they went before or if I was just being an idiot

Do you have an iPhone? I helped my dad with his earlier. It needed to have tracking allowed somewhere in the app settings, then we got through to a page saying that an update was necessary, then he could get back in. My android just needed the update.

Agree the new design is awful.

We want the old app back !!

You can chose numbers, add a lucky dip or select favourites.

I had to delete loads of very old number selections.

The only good thing is it works out how much you need to add if you already have a small balance.

Just had to join MN and say wow you are right. Took forever to load a game, glitched loads and looks like a rubbish Apprentice style app. Probably cured my mild gambling habit 😁

Preferred the old easy one. Mine kept saying I couldn't play yesterday because I don't live in the UK or certain parts of Europe. I do live in the UK.

It's not just the App, but their website too! It's AWFUL. I have to buy my Dad's lottery tickets for him. He's done the same numbers since it started but when i clicked to replay last numbers, it seems his last ticket was a free lucky dip so it chose those numbers instead! I had to wrack my brains to remember his regular numbers for him.

Oh - and when i go to look at previous played games, you hardly get many per page and they aren't in proper order?! It's madness. I used to be able to see a nice list of all the games he's bought, either saying 'in the draw' or 'played', and whether it was a win or loss, all in date order. Now it's a complete mess and totally confusing.

The new app is awful.

It saying "no matches" next to tickets for draws that haven't even taken place yet is just stupid.

@the80sweregreat I made a complaint too yesterday. There was nothing wrong with the old app and website. It says they respond within 24 hours but they haven’t responded to me yet so I think they’ve been inundated with complaints.

The new one has got rid of my current address and replaced it with my old address from 2019! It of course won’t let me change it because it says I have changed my address recently (I definitely haven’t). And it won’t let me update my bank details to my new bank card so I can’t buy any tickets. It says it’s because I have a pending transaction (I don’t). I have 10p balance in the account that I can neither spend nor withdraw.

It’s really annoying. I haven’t been able to buy a ticket which obviously would have won the jackpot. Their stupid update is most likely the reason why I’m not a millionaire right now.

I hate it! They’ve ditched the thrilling ‘ding’ sound it makes when you win something - that’s if you can get your ticket to scan in the first place. BAH

I've not been able to log in yet but I don't like this guy. Why is he chopped in half??

Also its so annoying that you can't buy tickets overnight. I can understand the live games but I'm hardly in the throes of addiction trying to buy 2 euro luckydips at 11pm.
