About the anaesthetist: how would he identify a patient as MAGA? I think he may be being truthful when he claims to have been hacked, because surely an anaesthetist would be aware that patients waiting for an operation tend not to have "MAGA" tattooed on their foreheads even if they do support some or all of that (undefined) "organisation"'s beliefs. When would he have the opportunity to ask them?

I saw someone point out after the Good murder that it had taken 4 blocks and 5 years to go from kneeling on a black man’s throat to shooting a white woman in the face. Apparently it is only a small step from there to shooting a white man but it does seem to be where we draw line.

Not sure why everyone is dissing the film. It must be a shoe in for the inaugural FIFA International Film Awards.

It generally isn't far into a discussion about Trump and republicans that the c-word appears.

The problem is that Dems don't seem very good at using the tool. They feel the need to foster the tool, adopt the tool, start to love and trust the tool. Leave the family jewels lying around with a handy jewel sack for the tool.

I found the second one "Minnesota Proved MAGA Wrong" especially interesting for its analysis of MAGA's mistaken core beliefs – particularly MAGA's belief that social cohesion is only possibly among people who look alike and come from the same locale.

That one really strikes home for me because I have lived in so many countries, and in the UK have worked with so many people who are expats here. In each place I've formed close and enduring friendships with people who on paper are completely different from me in every possible way... yet in reality we're like twins separated at birth. I don't find that it's the externals which create bonds; rather it's who we are as people that creates bonds. We share values, even though we have local variations in how we express them.
