Do I smell of wee?

Ok, so I can't bring myself to ask anyone IRL!

I use tena pads every day. Normal ones on a normal day, extra plus ones on a bad day. I usually go through 2 pads a day.

I have no sense of smell.

Do I smell of wee?! No one has ever mentioned it, but then who would?!

They claim to absorb the smell of wee, but do they really?

Thanks x

Women do not need to accept wetting themselves for life.

If you are wearing the pads and changing regularly you won’t smell.

but please. See a women’s physio and your GP asap and ask them what needs to happen to rectify this problem.

I hope it can be fixed

Male GP said it's your age. Female GP offered me a drug which had alarming side effects.

Surgeon doing both hip replacements said that the extra support of new hips could fix the problem.

I have a retroverted uterus, which doesn't help.

Thanks for the replies! I've resigned myself to the fact that it's not going to get better, but really needed to know if I smell of wee!

I've tried apps, weights that you wear inside, an electric thing that zapped my muscles from inside (!) and all the squeezing I can muster but absolutely nothing helps. So I feel that seeing my GP will be a waste of time.

It's hard to manage though. Days out have to be planned so I know where I can get to the loo, swimming trips involve having to discreetly remove a pad at the last minute, and thank god I haven't got a partner to have to hide it from. What a pain killer pads would be!

I think I'm going to have to change pads more often to ensure I don't smell because I'm really paranoid about it!

Thanks all x

Have you actually been to a pelvic floor therapist though?
