Have you ever recognised yourself or anyone else on street view?

Just that really, I’ve just seen someone I used to know (I know the face is blurred but it was definitely them) but they died in about 2012. I didn’t know them that well but it was like seeing a ghost. Has anyone ever seen/recognised anyone or themselves?

I’m on the street view for a road near our old house. I’m pushing the pram and my (then) 2 year old is walking next to me. It’s a sweet memory, and my son thinks it’s cool now.

I didn’t see the Google car at all somehow, even though I’m looking right at it in the picture. We only discovered I was there when a friend was using Street View.

My auntie in her garden, she's sadly gone now, saw my BiL and PiL at their house chatting to neighbours, and nieces and nephew in the nearby playback. PiL and auntie are dead now, children are leaving school so it was a nice surprise to find them there!

Haven't seen myself at any of my old haunts, did find my car parked outside my old flat, loved both of them, was a brilliant time!

No, but I saw our old car parked outside our old house once after we had moved, and wept with nostalgia.

Yes, my auntie gardening in her front garden. It's changed now though which is inconvenient as I used to use it to double check her house number which I am always forgetting!

Yes, spotted my husband walking along our road carrying a bag of shopping back from the CoOp 😂

My husband is on the path outside of our house - him and his workmate were doing our roof. His pal is on the scaffolding I think in it!

I'm on there walking ds2 then 4 now 18 to pre school whilst pushing ds3 then baby now 14 in a buggy. It quite weird to see, feels like a lifetime ago.
There have been more recent streetview there but I can still see the one with us in it.

We saw the Google car on the way to my grandma's funeral. For obvious reasons it's not on Google maps

Not me but my cat is sat judging in the window in both our old and new house

I’m on there a few years ago in January carrying a pile of heavily discounted mince pies. I turned my head when I saw the car and I don’t think I’m recognisable. Luckily it’s 100 m from my house.

This thread made me curious so I just looked and found my cat in the window of my house. I also saw my dads car outside. He died a couple of years ago so it was nice to see it again.

My son in law is on it ALL the time, even when they do a new photo of his street, he still pops up 🤣

My lovely much-missed cat used to be on streetview sitting on the mat outside our front door, but they've updated it fairly recently and she's not there any more.

I found a photo of my dad in his garden as well.
He died a couple of years ago so I took a screenshot. It was so nice to see that photo! It's a very rural road so I didn't even think their house would be on there.

Yes, same for our beloved old camper van! I cried when we changed it for a newer model, and then saw it on Google Earth outside our house, sniff...

My cat and dog who passed away a few years ago are in my front garden with my old fence still up.

My mum is in the garden watering her plants. I think they would have had to come in the dead of night not to catch her doing that.
