The whole Jenrick affair raises some questions.
Jenrick tried for leadership of the Tory party. He failed, but not by much. However it's a clear indication of his ambition.
If we take the whole Reform story (not all stories have to be true ....) at face value then what did he think he was going to get to drop any notions of leadership ? Because as we know, Nigel cannot be challenged. And - more pertinently - what would it take for Farage (why has a scamsters nose for scammers) to actually believe him ?
An equally valid narrative would be that Agent Jenrick was preparing for a top secret mission to go deep undercover and sink Reform from the inside. I can see team Kemi being inspired by the fact that it would look so natural that someone as incompetent as Jenrick sunk Reform nobody could ever imagine it was done on purpose.
