Dualit Toasters

Have been given a gift voucher which I want to put towards a Dualit Toaster. I have always wanted one, but could never justify the cost! Have been online to have a look and, frankly, was bewildered at the choice. Can anyone recommend the model they have, or tell me why it is one I should avoid?!

Just a bit of a counter argument my mum bought one and hasn’t stopped complaining about it since. Doesn’t pop up so if you aren’t standing right next to it the toast can get burnt (since it stays next to the element). Weird shape (she says) that doesn’t fit a whole slice of anything in it. Glad to see others love them though!

I'm so glad to find someone else who doesn't feel the Dualit love!
We have had a two slice one (2-person household)for a couple of years and it is not only the most expensive toaster we've ever bought by far, it's also the worst by a country mile.
It can manage to burn one slice while leaving the other pallid and can even burn one side of the bread while other other is barely brown.
To top it all, each slice is toasted very unevenly, eg the top of the slice is burnt, the rest is ok.
Too late to return it now, even if I could remember where we bought it. Possibly online, (JL? but not at all sure) after reading the many glowing reviews....

Exactly my experience. It’s nowhere near as good as the random unbranded one it replaced.
