I have 2. First is my coffee machine. It grinds the beans, so I can have a freshly brewed coffee each morning. I love it!
Second one is a prize from postcode lottery. It's a rechargeable hot water bottle, and it's been a game changer! Especially useful for when I'm cold watching DS play rugby....

Definitely Mounjaro and my new Henry pet vacuum. Mounjaro has helped me lose 3 stone and I feel so much better for it. Looking forward to losing the rest in 2026.

As for the vacuum, don’t have pets but do have long hair and am fed up of the hoover not picking them up properly off the carpet. The Henry had a load of great reviews and it has not disappointed.

Ozlo sleepbuds here too, block out the snoring while listening to audiobooks.

Which pans did you get? Are they stainless steel?

I went for Ninja ceramic ones, I was expecting them to stick a little but they are brilliant, I hope they last, they’re still quite new!

A wood burner type fire for our very cold sitting room. The fire is electric though with LED very realistic flames. Its made such a difference.

A good solicitor for my divorce
A week in Edinburgh for Lost Evenings which occurred a week after my divorce finalised. Helped to mend my heart

Is the robotic good ? I’d love one but heard mixed things about them.

I have an Ecovac that hoovers and mops and it is amazing. We have a large open plan kitchen diner, utility room, hallway and downstairs bathroom all with hard floors and it hoovers and mops them all. You can have it just hoovering as well so it will do my hard floors and carpet areas. But then you can change to attachment to the mop one and it will mop the hard floors. If it has a mop attachment on it doesn't go onto carpet.

Aww I love this. Glad to hear it's all worked out.

I'm saving up for private surgery that the NHS said they won't pay for even though it's severely affecting my quality of life. I've been suffering for 8 years and only now in a financial position to start saving. It'll take another 2 years - hope I can make it!

It's so worth it @Refresssher . I was very fortunate that I could access the money , but if not id have definitely considered a bank loan, if you can , don't delay! It has been life changing . Also if you have private insurance ( I didn't) they will often pay. Happy to give you details of who I went with etc if you wanted to PM me

HayceeDeeCee · 31/12/2025 10:09

Mounjaro - it's saved my life

SquirrelFan · 31/12/2025 10:11

So many good things here - do you mind if I ask
@Justbreathagain which walking boots you'd recommend after the year?
@LunaTheCat do you recommend a particular travel agent /place in Africa?
@Playingvideogames the brand of the lovely warm tights?
@landlordhell what UK breaks were best? I've resolved to do more in the new year but I get overwhelmed by the choices!
@GreenGodiva I, too, am curious how a 3D printer raised money.... and well done you for supporting those causes!

landlordhell · 31/12/2025 10:18

@SquirrelFan This year we went to Liverpool( had never been) and it was really good- Stayed in Albert Dock , ferried across the Mersey, visited The Cavern etc. We had a break in Malaga( underrated and better than Barcelona imo), we had a coastal walking holiday staying in Beer, Devon, a couple of nights in Richmond, London(ish) and lastly Southwold, Suffolk. We try to stay in a nice Air BmB or hotel and we walk everywhere.

My Mini. I'd wanted one forever and finally swapped my 16 year-old Micra this year. I love it deeply.

On my list. What colour did you go for?

piefacedClique · 31/12/2025 10:22

Mounjaro and an electric car. Absolute game changers for me 🎉

KnickerlessParsons · 31/12/2025 10:22

A jumper de-bobbler. All my old jumpers look like new.

Raisondeetre · 31/12/2025 09:52

Oooh.. please tell us the makes!

My coffee machine is a Ninja Luxe Cafe. Pricey, but I have not bought a takeaway coffee since, so it's paying for itself I figure!
My hot water bottle is by Carmen. I've been heating it up before bed, and it's still warm in the morning.

My bean to cup coffee machine! The Delonghi Rivelia as recommended by someone on here. It’s brilliant.

Thank you. I never thought to ever get ceramic pans! Does your food taste better cooked in them?
I have all non stick but looking to go stainless steel or whatever is more "safer".

Is the robotic good ? I’d love one but heard mixed things about them.

DS1 has a Eufy robomop and he says it’s phenomenal. He already had a ‘normal’ Eufy, but this is apparently a gamechsnger. It empties its dust after every vac, doesn’t bump into furniture and as he only mops twice a week it only needs filling twice a month.

Supersimkin7 · 31/12/2025 10:36

Uniqlo C check long coat. Transforms all wardrobe from schlump to smart.

Hush baby blue double faced longish coat, ditto.

Cheery ginger cat, also very warm, oversized and snuggly.

coolcahuna · 31/12/2025 10:36

My wedding.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 31/12/2025 10:36

Another Mounjaro here. I have lost 5 stone, with 3 more to go. I would never have stuck to a diet long enough to lose this amount of excess baggage - Mounjaro means I can control what I put in my mouth and stops me obsessing about food. It’s magic.

BohoGarden · 31/12/2025 10:37

A bread maker. Two minutes of adding ingredients, set the timer and wake up to the smell of fresh bread. Absolutely delicious game changer and no more UPF supermarket bread.

The Travel Together rail card. Cost about £30 and now DH and I are exploring the UK by train really cheaply. (Saving about a third off every ticket price).

Blundstone classic boots. I haven't worn another pair of shoes since I bought them.

I feel the same way about Wegovy. It's like witchcraft isn't it?
