I have 2. First is my coffee machine. It grinds the beans, so I can have a freshly brewed coffee each morning. I love it!
Second one is a prize from postcode lottery. It's a rechargeable hot water bottle, and it's been a game changer! Especially useful for when I'm cold watching DS play rugby....

My desk. Ive always since I was a kid, wanted a wooden desk with the old fashioned leather covering on top.

I managed to get one second hand from Marketplace on FB. I also treated myself to a new office chair from Amazon.

I love my little office now. ❤️

I have attached a pic but had to use AI to edit out my laptop as it had personal stuff on it.

Mounjaro.
For the first time in 15 years I’m in the healthy BMI range. It’s cured my winter psoriasis, helped my perimenopause symptoms and improved my mental health.

My bean to cup coffee machine! The Delonghi Rivelia as recommended by someone on here. It’s brilliant.

Edited

I really want the rivelia so I can switch between beans easily with the two hoppers but my original delonghi refuses to die and I can’t justify buying a new machine when the old one works perfectly well!

My ongoing Rock Choir membership. It makes me so happy although I've read some really beastly comments about RC on MN. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ah well. I reserve the right to love it.. the weekly rehearsals, learning the new songs, the people, the gigs and the excellent events (in the past year, performing at, and opening Edinburgh Fringe and a wonderful Christmas event at the NEC performing with Sam Ryder and Emilie Sande.. was amazing and fun... to name but two events ).

I'm not a high earner but it is money well spent on an excellent hobby that I do with my best friend.

Wow that sounds wonderful! I have thought about joining for a while . This has given me a push!

My trip to Venice with my Dad and youngest son, Merry people boots (Vinted) no wet feet now on dog walks and so comfy and my Seasalt riversea coat (also Vinted) now I’m also warm and dry on dog walks, result!

I came on to say Merry People boots. I work on a farm and they are on my feet all day 5 days a week. So comfy from the first wear.

Subscription to Justanswer for legal questions - ££££££ saved going through litigation

Artfund membership - an insignificant investment that gave the needed free/discounted access to some 200 places I needed to visit to write my book about museums and historic houses.

Air fryer.

Mounjaro. After years of trying to lose the baby weight and the usual ways no longer working, I finally am back to my healthy weight. Only need to work out (strength training, currently lifting 6kg dumbells and started at 2kg) 3 times a week. I have my life back and can fit into my old clothes.

I am a seasalt fan and love my River Sea coat. Just bought the Cardinham duffle and am delighted with it

@Robyn847 love the ducks, ignore the haters! When we go to festivals I'm always gutted that I don't find them

Londonbabyland · 04/01/2026 09:05

@StarsTwinklingPomanders usually £50/month and then you can add premium service if you need drafting/doc review or other customised service (still a saving and no minimum fixed fee as one usually has with lawyers). They don't represent you though,so it's great for litigant in person or those who want to do most of the legwork and only engage the legal council for something they absolutely need.

Getting air conditioning fitted in our bedroom, life changing. (Can be used to heat the room quickly as well as cool, so it’s been amazing year round!)

Also love my new car, newest car I’ve owned and every day I get in it and find a new gadget which I love and changes my life 🤣

On the less expensive end of the scale I replaced my saucepans after the panorama episode on plastics etc and can’t believe how much they’ve improved my cooking and clearing up experience! Actually don’t stick and wash up really easily.

Which saucepans did you buy instead?

I know you weren't asking me, but I have period pants from m&s. I don't have terribly heavy periods but did buy heavy duty just in case. They're super comfy and have never caused any problems at work. But I might bring a spare pair in if I was worried x

Hi sorry for the late reply. I use the wukas, they are very good but I feel since I have put on weight they are not the most comfy and I would say I am a M or L ( wukas all one size) I love the m and s comfort ones. I don't think mine are particular heavy either which may help.

I don’t know the correct term but one of those gadgets that projects onto a wall so we can watch Netflix etc in bed. It’s so lovely to be able to go to bed and be cosy and warm watching a film or something. It’s just a small thing and doesn’t take up much room on a chest of drawers.

I'd love to know the name of this?!

@Robyn847 I'd love to know where you bought the ducks please. As a crafter, I can think of a lot of uses for them.

Londonbabyland · 04/01/2026 09:43

@CosyDenimShark love the genius idea! I had similarly transformed the storage cupboard into a recording space and 15 audiobooks later it might go the drying room way (part time)

It would have been either Amazon or eBay. I've looked since and never found as many for anywhere near that price. It's usually about 200 for that price so when I saw 2000 they were in my basket quicker than you could blink. Search miniature ducks and you'll find plenty.

They’re just a projector - Amazon has lots of generic ones if you search projector for bedroom
