What are you doing today/Boxing day?

I’ve not long woken up. DS is at his dad’s and I have no family obligations. I’m single so just me and the dog today. It’s a beautiful day here so I think I’ll take a drive (about an hour) to the beach with the dog. I’ll take a packed lunch with some Christmas dinner leftovers. What’s everyone else doing? Hope you all have a lovely day!

Had a lay in. Hoovered and tidied up. Going to have a shower and walk the dog. Plan to chill a bit after driving further than I’d like yesterday. Dp coming over later for turkey curry.

Boxing Day is my favourite day of the year.

I have an 18 year old dd and a 15 year old dd and I’m an early riser so 7.30 I was up having a quiet coffee and then watching the beautiful sunrise.

its lovely here today, even though it’s cold and frosty, not a cloud in the sky, by 9am I was out walking. Did 5 miles, came home, had breakfast

in the bath now, then I’ll probably potter round and wait for my ds to hopefully bring the grandkids round although he’s very chaotic and will likely can’t be arsed or will forget. I’ve offered to go there but they’ve gone out for a drive. Never mind will see them tomorrow

Been for a long walk.

Now watching Stranger Things and going to eat left overs for lunch and tea!

Home alone today as Dh and Ds have gone to a far away football match and won’t be home till about 10pm. I’ve cleaned downstairs, washed up, cleaned my muddy shoes, done some washing and raked the leaves off the garden. Just waiting for the washer then quick shower and off to meet a friend for coffee. Later will be dog walk sort upstairs and change the beds. Aiming to sit down by 5pm and watch yesterday’s call the midwife.

Just me and DH on Boxing Day. DS is at the local rugby club with his mates. He'll be home early evening to watch the footie with his Dad.
Mum doesn't come on Boxing Day, she was here all day yesterday, but we will see her over the weekend

DH is finishing off the tidying up and kitchen from yesterday, I'm watching yesterday's Eastenders.
No real plans

Have done all the prep for a Christmas dinner. Yesterday, went to relatives who didn't do a traditional dinner (was very nice), so I'm doing one today - looking forward to it.

Just came home from PIL where the heating broke down in the middle of the night, so we’re tired and cold. Now I’m very much looking forward to a day under the blanket, reading my new book and having leftovers. Might or might not go for a walk later and will also have a bath at some point. That’s all for today - bliss!

Just spent a couple of hours in the garden. The cold wind has dried the garden a little so have swept all the leaves, eight huge dumpy bags! Shame the tip is closed today.

So far, I've sat in bed, had a shower, eaten a lindt Santa. I'm going to get up and potter around, read my new book and possibly make a pudding for taking to my dad's tomorrow.

Me and dh have nipped into town to get his hair cut before we go away tomorrow.Cant wait.Its only Norfolk but it extends Christmas for us and ive booked a panto and other activities.Will take our Xmas food and drink with us.Ds 11 will be with us too.

Surprised myself by doing the Joe Wicks live Boxing Day workout, now eating chocolate Shreddies on the sofa. Thinking about doing a Christmas jigsaw.

Going to BILs for big family curry, we're doing the veg curries and puddings, intend to get drunk to get through it.

I'm in the arctic circle in Norway, staying with my cousin and her family. It's snowy and dark but lots to eat and drink. Just had a brisk walk in the cold after a very late breakfast as we were still clearing up after lots of guests yesterday.

Currently in bed, eating chocolates and watching stranger things. Best Boxing Day ever 😉

Dh and I got up at 8.30 and went for a walk in the sunshine, then back for coffee. Dcs had a big lie in. Dh listened to his new records and I started building a Lego orchid.
In laws have now arrived so we've had more coffee and mince pies, and we've been lazing on the sofa playing a silly trivia game.
We're having cold turkey, ham and chips for lunch (my favourite meal of Christmas) and MIL has made the Boxing Day trifle. They will head off later this afternoon and I plan to take root on the sofa and do very little else for the rest of the day.

OP that sounds like bliss. We have just got back from family after a great day and a very late night. Adult DC with us so just relaxing, will do a dog walk eat some Christmassy salads and turkey and then pack as we are away tonorrow for a couple of nights.

Got up just before 10am. Now on the sofa with a (ds-made) Bloody Mary whilst dh assembles Boxing Day lunch - baked potatoes, cold cuts, pickles etc. We will play a game of Monopoly after lunch, with wine and chocs. Tonight we'll eat cauliflower cheese, mince pies and drink Baileys in front of Stranger Things.

My favourite day of the year.

Sitting in the car waiting for rac as have a flat tyre eta 3 hours and that's urgent as its a motability car and my charge has epilepsy!

Very late wake up. Pottering about. Kids playing with new toys and DH is in the shed 😁. Off to a circus at 3 with Grandma too then home fir bubble and squeak, trifle, Christmas cake and mince pies and telly.
