What are you doing today/Boxing day?

I’ve not long woken up. DS is at his dad’s and I have no family obligations. I’m single so just me and the dog today. It’s a beautiful day here so I think I’ll take a drive (about an hour) to the beach with the dog. I’ll take a packed lunch with some Christmas dinner leftovers. What’s everyone else doing? Hope you all have a lovely day!

Tidying up and finally relaxing. It's been a hectic few weeks.

Like display I'm also having a litter pick around the block.

Boxing Day meet is in the village so although horseless I will be there.

Then eating and watching TV while playing with DD and her toys.

A lazy morning just staring at the messy house, no point tidying until tonight as the kids will keep getting all the new toys out and scattering them.

Then off to the in laws, and I really cba!

I've been out a walk about 8 this morning, such a lovely frosty morning. House has been tidied and I'm now on the couch and going to chill all day and eat cheese and biscuits, crisps and dips and cholcates, as never had any yesterday. Dh and dd still asleep, ds is out the back playing ice hockey. So glad we don't have any plans, tho both dds are going out later with friends.

Cleaned up , found homes for the new presents, done 2 loads of washing now hanging on the line ( sunny weather) eating chocolate and watching some rubbish on tv in my pyjamas . Back in work tomorrow.

Ive already been up a mountain to watch the sunrise. I fancy another mountain after a quick lunch( bit if cheese on the side and a turkey roll)

Im chilling in bed as my son tackles the washing up from yesterday. He’ll then walk the dog and later head of to a football match. My DD and I will just chill - she did all the cooking yesterday. I’ll do a ham for dinner. Then movie and bed - I’m taking my son back to his place early the next morning as he has to work starting at noon (80 miles away).

I'm working soon, so I'll have a shower and get ready. Spending the late morning/afternoon with the kids. 🥰 hope all had a lovely Christmas 🎄

Lovely thread. I slept with the odd break for 10 hours 😮 and went down to find dp finishing off tidying up and cleaning. Love him ❤️ am now in the bath and then inspired by @DisplayPurposesOnly and @PlazaAthenee might go for a litter picking walk (his n hers litter pickers were my first ever birthday present to dp 5 years ago). Off to Dp’s mum’s later to meet up with all the adult children for a leftovers banquet.

Just cooked and cleared away brunch 😋 now chilling for a couple of hours then shower and TV. Road trip tomorrow for a relatives big birthday

I just ate some rice porridge with a glug of gingerbread cream liqueur in it and some fancy Lindt chocolates, and played a game of Ubongo with DS, who has now gone round to the neighbour's house to play with their grandson and I'm wondering what to do next.
At some point I intend to make a fried egg sandwich between two slices of toast, and then at a later point I'll eat some more Christmas leftovers. I will also eat a lot of cheese. I haven't even opened the fancy pate yet so I ought to do that as well.
When DD gets home from her sleepover we'll watch some X Files while eating cheese and other boxing day nibbles and I shall drink wine.

We were with my family yesterday, so today we're visiting DH's family. This will involve food, games and just sitting around chatting. Maybe a walk at some point.

Boxing Day is my favourite day over Christmas. Had all the family round yesterday as our turn to host so after all the madness of the day (and the run up to it), today I’m in clean, new pajamas and have just finished tidying up. Will be spending the day playing with my new toys lol (Lego) with a break for Christmas left over sandwiches at lunchtime. Then watching the episodes of stranger things this evening. Kids are late teens so don’t need to do any running around after them. Just a lovely, calm and peaceful day enjoying all the lovely things we got yesterday.

Football! Going to watch Peterborough united at home. We will have our boxing day tomorrow. I've found that having a day between christmas day and boxing day is a lot less stressful.

And there’s me trying to summon the energy to get out of bed and go for a wee.

I was up at 7.30, had a coffee on the sofa with the cat and caught up on all the messages from yesterday. Had a nice FaceTime with a good friend, and a long chat with my sister to debrief after yesterday - lovely day, all went well we just like to discuss our favourite/least favourite parts, what we might do again next year, what we might do differently etc. Had a satsuma for breakfast as I’m still so full from yesterday (I’m on WLI, my stomach can’t handle food like it used to)!

DD has just gone out with her boyfriend to visit his family, she won’t be home til tomorrow so I have the house to myself now. Have cleaned the kitchen, put all the Christmas treats away, tidied away all the presents and taken the bins down. Will go for a walk soon, then when I get in will have a long hot bath with my new bath stuff then into new pyjamas to catch up on some Christmas tv (Corrie and strictly are top of my list)! Planning a nice healthy dinner as I feel it’s what I need after all the overindulgence! Will also do some yoga and mediation at some point, just to held me unwind. A perfect Boxing Day for me!

I went to try and fill the car up but they only had pay at pump and my phone doesn’t work on that. So need to find a petrol station that’s properly open as we are driving to a country park for a dog walk with friends. Then back to their house for cake!

DH going out with BIL and SIL this evening; I was invited but have graciously declined in favour of sitting in the blissful silence with my pets. I’m autistic and introverted so the season can get overwhelming for me.

Finishing off packing as off to Barbados tomorrow!

Our toddler got up at 5.30, we went for a walk to get some bread but it was baltic. The sun is very deceiving. We are having turkey ciabattas for lunch and going to build a gingebread train. Stranger things when the baby is in bed, I can't wait!

Favourite day of the year. Done some tidying, DS did his thank you cards, listed some stuff on Vinted.
Having a long soak in the bath with new posh bath oil.
Clean PJs and stranger Things binge incoming!

Currently in bed with one of the cats. Planning a walk in the sun in a bit and to start reading my new books after. There’s some salmon that needs eating for tea. It’s very nice not to need to go anywhere or to do anything 😊

This is one of my favourite days of the year. DC are playing. I'm about to get a bath with my new bath stuff I got for Christmas then will make sausage rolls for lunch with leftover sausage meat from yesterday. This afternoon we may pop out to the woods for a walk or we may just lay on the couch reading! Either way it's a lovely relaxing day. Dinner will be Christmas dinner take 2 with all the leftovers! Then when DC are in bed DH and I will watch TV with wine and cheese. Absolutely love boxing day!

Just had a lovely breakfast and now off to the football with DH and DS. It’s one of my favourite days of the year.

So far I’ve had a pigs and blankets breakfast bun. Finished off a box of after eights, and now the minstrels.

This is as productive as it’s going to get I fear!

DH has walked the dogs and I've tidied up and put a laundry load on.
I've set up my new iPad (which surprised me as not one swear word left my mouth and I'm the least technological person ever) and I managed to buy the Christmas present that my DH really wanted but it sold out before Christmas - something just told me to check today and there was 1 in stock, so I snapped it up, so it's still feeling very Christmassy in our house and DH can't wipe the grin off his face, which makes me happy.
Going to box up leftovers to make the fridge more organised and then make some turkey, gammon, oak-smoked ham, stuffing and cranberry sauce barms for a late lunch.
Got gingerbread wax melts burning, the fire burning, I showered and then put on a pair of new fleecy pj's and I shall soon settle down and read a book that I bought for myself to read after Christmas Day,
Today for us is about warmth, comfort and relaxation - oh and I'm going to go and put the new velvet bedding on the bedding that my DM bought for us.
